eastlandssaint reacted to faraway saint in St Mirren v Celtic Scottish Cup 5th Round 11/2/24
Here's something for you to think about, although that's possibly a step too far.
Look through both matchday threads and see if ANYONE remotely agrees with your weekly hilarious assessment.

I think you're an imbecile.
Something far wrong with you, might be better if you started following another sport because you simply don't know feck all about fitba.

I see @elvis is spouting utter shite over on the main thread about us doing nothing in the 2nd half.n
Maybe he needs to go to Specsavers.

Agreed.... unlucky with draw but difficult to tell which team has 40 times the budget... boys should be proud

The trouble with elections is the lying goes into free fall... look at 2019 and the North of England....Levelling up ....HS2.. and of course before Brexit... but who do you believe... even the Greens are at it.. the cost to our countryside...lithium batteries... transferring gender rights....teach it at primary school .... I think vote none of the above and just avoid the news channel indefinitely.

eastlandssaint reacted to TPAFKA Jersey 2 in Saints v Sellick Cup
Well I thought that was a decent performance today and was good enough that we shouldn’t lose momentum from our recent performances.
The problem today was the age old St. Mirren problem of not having someone who can comfortably and regularly stick the ball in the back of the net. Thought our general play was very good though. Thought Mandron was fantastic today and also good performances from the likes of Gogic, Tanser, Elvis, CBM and Baccus. CBM’s corners caused Celtic all sorts of problems and we were unlucky not for scored from any of them.
Straight back on the horse next week. Beat Livi and we’re up and running again.
Could’ve done without those late goals for Dundee today though. Would’ve been ideal if they’d lost or even drawn.

eastlandssaint reacted to party politics in Saints v Dundee FC - Wednesday, 7th Feb. 2024
Totally agree that running a line is not easy and neither is refereeing, but week after week our "top" officials are not covering themselves in glory.
Simple things, like indicating a free-kick or throw-in with their arms (there were times last night I did not hear the whistle being blown for a foul) seems to be to much effort for them. Trudging up and down the middle of the pitch and never coming wide are my own personal pet hates. The guys in the middle in our league must be on around £1000 per match now, so they should go back to earning it.
Glad to see the club have appealed Bolton's straight red, as let's be honest McLean just wanted to follow his pal Robertson from the night before and go against the VAR recommendation.

Its the middle of winter so no pitch is the SPL is perfect as grass goes dormant over this period, anyone who expects a summer billiard board pitch at this time of year is delirious

Dundee boss Tony Docherty: "It doesn't sit well with me. It was a difficult game, the pitch was poor and really difficult to play on. We tried to pass it, but it was a long-ball, second-ball game. That's their style of play.
"We've got a handball in the 87th minute from a shot that is going in, or hitting the post at least. We don't get that decision, they don't go over to VAR. I'm perplexed, I'm asking questions, because I'm trying to protect our football club."
