  1. Sorry, StuD, doesn't answer the question, those, too are assertions, made without any foundation. And exclude nuclear decommissioning costs into the bargain.
  2. Another set of assertions with nothing to back them up. Give me the answers to the questions I asked or admit you have no idea. For avoidance of doubt, the latter isn't necessary for anyone on BAWA or P&B
  3. The nationalist tactic that deals with the subject instead of deflecting onto personal attacks on Alex Salmond? Yep, certainly is. He's a politician, haven't you sussed out yet that they all spout pish if it suits their argument? The site I quoted gave a reasoned, structured argument as to what would have happened in the event of an independent Scotland being in place when the banking crisis happened with everything else being the same. It's based on what happened elsewhere under the same circumstances and it completely debunks your spurious assertions. Deal with it.
  4. Sorry, shull, I don't do Greggs, I'm afraid. Or free lunches for taxi-drivers for that matter, but I admire your attempt!
  5. Really? How does it compare to, oh, I don't know, coal or gas generated energy, factoring in the development costs, of course, the stage we're at with renewables. Then do the same for nuclear, including the decommissioning costs. Then come back and make that statement.
  6. StuDy's favourite old chestnut, debunked very well in this article. http://www.businessforscotland.co.uk/why-did-the-banks-only-become-scottish-after-they-failed/
  7. Here's the link: http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/check-if-you-need-one/topics/technology--devices-and-online-top8/
  8. You don't, dmc, provided you only ever watch catch-up it's not required.
  9. I'm going tomorrow to see for myself. Might even make it a family trip, it's a once in a lifetime experience!
  10. As good an example of what oaky was talking about as you'll ever get. FYI it was a YesScotland account that was hacked, not an SNP account. There is a world of difference between the two.
  11. And they'd never, ever do anything illegal to get an edge (apart from start a war, of course) http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/scotland/scottish-politics/10253788/Yes-Scotland-calls-in-police-over-hacking-claim.html Got to love the Telegraph, they still manage to turn the latter half of the piece into a rant against Yes Scotland....StuD's kind of paper
  12. Don't have enough hours in the day to post them all.
  13. Development of shail (sic) gas fields is going well, isn't it. As is the fight against crime. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/lies-damn-lies-and-tory-crime-statistics-1889927.html
  14. Absolutely, the Tories would never indulge, would they? http://www.politics.co.uk/news/2013/03/08/slapped-down-cameron-rebuked-for-misleading-economy-speech Fish/barrel.
  15. For once, i agree with StuD. They need to learn from Westminster how to do it properly: http://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/top-stories/scottish-independence-uk-underplayed-value-of-oil-1-2937003 Edited to correct web address.
  16. I can see it happening fairly soon, oaky, the technology's just about there now (for major roads, anyway) - satnav to guide you, radar to stop you running into the car in front, lane correction, cruise control, etc.
  17. He sees it on the 12 tv's you have in every room while he's spying on you.....
  18. I have and I'm sure I will again. He's still a racist f**kwit, though.
  19. It was the egg, dinosaur eggs predate chickens by quite some time. Unless you're a creationist, of course. In which case you really are too thick to be educated. Only my opinion, mind.
  20. Is "bongo-bongo land" racist? Yes, it is, undoubtedly. Did he know what he was doing? Yes, he did, but he thought he was doing it in front of like-minded people and could get away with it. He's also in UKIP, a party well known as the "acceptable" face of right wingers for whom the Tories are too left wing. Given the foregoing, the reasonable man can only conclude that the f**kwit is, in fact, a racist. To believe otherwise is, at best, naive. I don't think you're naive, Tom.
  21. Smell a lot of shite? Oaky & Barney took about 3 million words each to say what I said in twenty.
  22. I think you'll find you're wrong, TT.
  23. I have no idea if global warming is natural, man-made or a combination of both (although I suspect the last option). I do know that recycling and using less carbon fuels will, most definitely, help our children, grandchildren, etc., won't do any harm and is easy to do on a personal level. A "no-brainer" is the term, I think.
