  1. I've put a post about this on reddit's football community "r/soccer". It has half a million subscribers. I believe this is where the slight surge in subscriptions has came from since last night. If you have a reddit account then up-vote my link so that it increases the visibility of the post and hopefully we could get it on the front page before the Euro's start. (High amount of traffic) Also downvote the dirty hibs fan with the snarky comment! http://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/4ndhbp/st_mirren_fc_is_for_sale_to_fans_for_12month_do/
  2. Where is best place to keep up with matters on this issue? Smisa website?
  3. Any source for this apart from Wikipedia? Edit: See it on the Spur's website RIP
  4. They made an atmosphere out of a shitty day and at one point songs could be heard from both stands. (I've never experienced this at the new stadium) I recommend getting these guys in to hospitality as much as possible. Of course the team did their part today, but it makes such a difference to have some atmosphere and not the usual soulless morgue
  5. Maybe we've played better but we haven't looked that solid for a while. Goodwin and Genev should be first choice whenever available.
  6. What are our stats since we moved stadium?
  7. Technically it is to do with Paisley though because the town was producing so much material at the time and customers were demanding the Indian Pattern on it. So Paisley whilst not inventing it, made it well known throughout the world.
  8. Gauld said in his 442 interview a few months ago that Sporting Lisbon have 3 training sessions per day compared to 1 at Dundee United. I used to see Conor Newton going to the gym on weekday afternoons which impressed me but also made me think that St Mirren/Scottish football don't provide him with the correct situations to satisfy him and help him improve as a footballer.
  9. Kelly hasn't been playing at Left Back recently. Still no clean sheet.
  10. A Madrid glory hunter from Tunisia with only 6000 twitter followers? Pic is even of Kenny
  11. I totally disagree with your post. The defence need to change. We have not had a single clean sheet this season. In half of our games teams have scored at least 2 goals. In a quarter of our games the team has scored 3 goals or more. We had plenty of clean sheets last season. Maybe Darren McGregor was a bigger player for us than many gave him credit for? To have any hope of staying up we NEED at least 1 new first choice central defender.
  12. Watch out, you'll make him Paranoid
  13. Yes it was McGinn for Reilly I believe.
  14. He was awful. We need to get behind the guy though until we get some more centre back replacements. We have put ourselves in a bit of a muddle though by making the guy captain, it's not easy to replace the man with the captains armband. Another thing I noticed is he didn't make a peep all night for some reason. He needed to see that even though he had made a number of mistakes you can't let the head go down because you are the most experienced player who others are looking to for direction. Plummer on the other hand was fantastic what a gem he could be with some proper leadership behind him.
  15. According to some, Danny's main flaw was inability to show off in an interview. So if the new man is nice on camera, he will be fine
  16. I remember watching a Theo Paphitis revisits Millwall documentary where they were reminiscing about the success of putting a screen in the corner. They were saying that it was such a boost in profits ( close to +£1 million) by having a screen there and using it for advertisers. You could even make it a beer garden for supporters to watch away matches..... although there is probably some legal barriers stopping us from doing this.
  17. Quoted from an Odense fan on Reddit "Djemba Djemba? Yes, in the first 2 seasons or so he was by far the best defensive midfielder in Denmark imo. He could easily play in PL or some other top 3 leagues, but luckly for us he had a bad reputation from earlier so I think thats why he had to stay. Later he got a few knee injuries that made him abit slower especially turning/rotating, but there was still some interest from England in summer 2010. Rumers said he had failed a medical at West Bromwich even thought he still was fit and could play for OB (I guess they wouldn't take the chance because of his bad knees). He knew he was too good to play in Denmark which only made his disappointment worse. Continuing knee problems and realising he was never able to transfer to a big club again, led to worse form and not working hard enough at the training grounds (Him and a group of african players was 'famous' for this). He left in 2012 after 4 years here, as probably one of the most loved players in that period, we always sang his name a few times every match."
  18. Tom Brown was a tax man a few years ago I think. May still be
  19. Well done to young Dilo but I don't get the flack that Cornell gets at all. He has looked pretty decent in the SPFL. He is still young and is playing behind a ghost of a defence at the minute.
  20. In the morning I am going to wake up and commit £10 a month to people I have never met before and get nothing in return.... What the hell am I doing? I'm in
  21. Off topic a little, but when was tackling the goalkeeper (with ball in hand) outlawed? In that video it was like a Bruce Lee film when the keeper had the ball.
