  1. If he'd half as successful as Mark Yarldley was he'll be a great signing! Why you saying GTF for that?

Aw Gee , thanks a lot guys. it means so much.clap2.gif

I think Kendo summed it up best whistling.gif ...... & Big Yards ?? GTF Ya Cheeky Baisturt !!sad.png

I`m more big boned than big scoring Bud !!

    Welcome aboard Callum!

He will certainly offer a 'plan B' next season, which we didn't have last season. He's definitely got the potential to become a bit of a cult hero IMO.

Could do with losing a few pounds but he showed in the pre season games he has an eye for the goal. Another good addition.

Great news, hope he lives up to the pre season hype and can stay injury free.

Welcome aboard to the New Goal Machine.

Great to be looking sorted up top.

    All our own players, too!

    Welcome Callum.

Welcome aboard Callum . Keep those goals coming !

Quite a change . One season we have ageing stalwart centre forward carrying burden alone , now a choice from 4. Happy days

    The next mark yardley!

  3. In any combat situation there will be civilian casualties, history shows us that is a fact which cannot be denied. We would all wish that these deaths hadn`t happened (on both "sides") and the blame lies with both parties involved.

Hamas must share responsibility for the casualties among their own people, If they care so much for the people who they claim to represent and care so passionately about then they must realise the futility of their actions by their constant rocket attacks on a much bigger ,better equipped & capable foe. Its akin to attacking a tank with a pea shooter and being surprised when said tank blows you & who ever is beside you into a thousand bits.

Israel ,for their part need to stop area bombing these missile sites (which are often placed in residential areas) Area bombing is ineffective & frowned upon by the international community & potentially leaves Israel open to more calls for war crime charges. Israels actions are as much a show of force to the rest of their potential enemies in the middle east as an attempt to weed out Hamas operatives.

    Whats the answer ? Honestly , i havent a bloody clue !

While Hamas want to wipe out anything thats remotely Jewish & while Israel continue to have the Military muscle & support from powerful friendly countries to continue getting away with their actions the whole bloody mess will continue on & off. The fundamental difference in the beliefs of both sides will never go away but with a bit of luck and a concerted effort from the whole international community (wont hold my breath on that one!), the best we can hope for is that the situation may be managed to prevent further bloodshed.

Neither of the two sides have a claim to be in the right, the actions of BOTH are resulting in innocent lives being lost daily.

  4. was at the squash finals on Monday. Had a brilliant time there. 8 hours of high quality sport, both world number ones in the men and womens events won gold and the event itself was run beautifully. Friendly people, transport to and from Scotstoun was absolutely no problem and we also had a fantastic view of the court. Had my tickets literaly two mins after they becaime available last September or whenever it was.

That was pretty much the only event I was really interested in but I was impressed.

They weren`t near the underpass on the Clyde walkway at all , were they ? whistling.gif

  5. So this has been decided two and a half weeks before the game. 18 days' notice. That is completely and utterly unnacceptable, tinged with a complete apathy and contempt for the fans.

There will be many who have already booked trains (myself included), buses, overnight accommodation to make the game. Some sorry excuse for an explanation has been posted on the Aberdeen official site, citing fixture congestion as a prime factor, before thanking St Mirren for agreeing to the fixture switch. Congested fixtures for which side may I ask? We may have three games in two weeks but that's nothing new.

What seems to have happened here is that Aberdeen have gotten ahead of themselves, thinking "we're going to advance in Europe, on top of all the other diddy Premiership games we're forced to play", so have used whatever imaginary weight they think they carry to get the game moved. To the benefit of Scottish football, of course.

More to the point, why have we accepted? What better than playing a tired Aberdeen side with their mind on other things, at a venue at which we have a notoriously poor record. But no, let's wait until it best suits Aberdeen. We'll play them midweek, at the same ticket prices, which will give the hosts the perfect opportunity to roll us over 2-0.

All this forced by a bully of a Chairman who has never given a second thought to the fortunes of other Scottish clubs.

This whole charade has been one enormous two fingers to the fans who have had the sheer audacity to try and save money on what is an already expensive day out. Money which they have now lost for good. Shameful.

Come on St Mirren, we're listening.

Dont criticise, Brians feelings may be hurt if he reads that ! cool.png

  6. If Brian is frustrated at forum negativity, do you know Div, if that extends to stuff like criticism of the strips, AWP leaving (again), or suchlike, or is it purely frustration at some forum bawbags having a pop at every signing we make, even before a ball has been kicked in anger.

    what , like this ?

    http://www.blackandwhitearmy.com/forums/index.php/topic/38258-20142015-home-strip/page-8

but sales are the broadly the same as last year ! whistling.gif

    Yeah Right !

  7. Quote from The Brian Caldwell update thread :

How are the sales of the new home strip going ?
JD sales of the home strips are more or less the same as this time last year.

I find that very hard to believe, that seems like a "talk it up" sales line from JD.

IMO you just arent seeing anywhere near as many out & about . The kids playing footy in the park opposite my house seem to have shunned it with only one away kit on show. (which actually in the flesh looks not as bad as first seemed)

This strip will go down in history as being every bit as much of a disaster as the Bib !

  8. MoD refuses to let red arrows trail Scotland's colours at opening ceremony

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/scottish-independence/commonwealth-games-2014-mod-refuses-request-to-let-red-arrows-use-scottish-colours-9626937.html

Remember we dont these games to be politicised...

    Pish . Non Story.

The reds were never asked to trail Blue & white, there were some initial discussions but no formal requests. FWIW , the reds would have had no probs if asked,

    & ..... i am an ardent Nationalist !

  9. Looks like Thomas is the chosen one to take over from Marc by some of our"supporters"

I simply said "in my opinion" hes not cut out for this level huh.png I`ve never slagged him or called him names , unlike the treatment Cheesy receives. So if we think a players not quite there we`re not allowed to say ?

Isnt opinions what a forum is all about ?

  10. I'm awe clapped oot, superb value, even the people who I'm not mad about we're very good live. Sitting here in the hotel waiting on all the celebrators to pop in, going to be a late night as we party party party.

I dont think there will be many staying at the Blairdene Guest House in Arbroaff tonight.blink.pngwacko.pngtongue.png
