I was there also , from what i remember the only place we could get in for a pre match drink (I was 15 at the time but it didnt seem to matter !!) was the Orange halls nearby !! fwiw , they made us all very welcome !

It was a great day oot. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

You don't have to be a financial expert to realise that five years after leaving our spiritual home, it took supporters to organise a simple, but effective facility for supporters to meet in pre-match.. You don't need to be a financial expert to wonder why other, smaller clubs, in lower leagues, can offer supporters a supporter's lounge / bar / gathering area. Wonder why other clubs can install a simple device like TVs at food stands to let you see scores from other games etc. have a bookies - like Falkirk, Motherwell? St Johnstone? Other, again smaller clubs, had (for a long time) better club shops than us, and in many cases still do - ones that sell playing kit. Christ, it took supporters to get them to fix the shoddy missing stadium letter - e-mails from P&B regulars being sent after it was left looking shabby for over one year. I won't mention my signature text again, for fear of Div banning me. Supporters organised the golf days, supporters executed some successful merchandising exercises in DVDs, books and stuff.Five years down the line, having been understanding of the reasons for the stadium move, I am now thinking that ordinary fans are worse off, having lost a stadium that was close to traditional watering holes, had facilities in the Caledonia stand, and has been replaced with four breezeblock shoeboxes in a field with fcuk-all much of anything near it, and the only tangible addition to our 'matchday experience' has been the wheeling-in of a mobile scoreboard on which so far, is only any good for Div's corner kick sponsorship or the temptation to test drive an Infiniti.
