  1. Have A Click Here

And look at some of the horrendous shirts that appear! There are a few more that I could add to that list that don't appear, but some are horrific...

Some I find strangely quite nice tho (Mexico strip...)

Any other suggestions that aren't in this?

ETA: The Oxford strip is very like the old Saints away tho!

Think it may well be the same one...and Charlton had it as well looking at that site.

Also noticed the Huddersfield town effort...did a bit of digging as if you change the checks for stripes then it's a replica of the infamous 'bib' top, and sure enough, they had a Matchwinner bib in '87. So it seems we weren't the only one they inflicted it on.

  2. Cant help here but on the subject I think I may have a similar problem. Anytime I try and watch videos online or play any games the computer has this stutter (stutter :P ) like effect on the viewing or the cursor jams etc.

Is that your graphics card that causes this

I'd have thought that one was running too many programs at once, or having too many browser windows open. Get that one a fair bit too. Normally closing a few sorts it out.

  3. Well, it seems to be! Every time I try to play a "graphics intensive" game such as Medal of Honour, Area51, Armed Assault etc, my pc crashes completely. I downloaded most recent drivers for me card Nvidia G -force 8600 GTS and also the latest drivers for my sound card as well. It's still crashing when I launch (note, not even get to play!) any of the above mentioned games. I turned hardware acceleration right down, with no luck and set the colour to 16 bit, still no luck. I can play older games like steel panthers and pacific general also games on sega emulator, so it seems there's a definite problem and now I'm at me wits end. This started late Friday night and has increased in frequency since then.

All ideas or tips and fixes appreciated!

I take it this is a recent problem and you've been able to play the games fine in the past, so the normal checks on PC spec to the games' min and recommended requirements don't apply? I'm sure with that experience above you won't be running any other intensive programs (either directly or background tasks in the task manager/whatever) either?

Could it be that some settings have been changed as regards the hardware performance, or an update of some kind has produced a conflict somewhere? Might be worth trying a system restore with a recent restore point when it's been fine to see if that helps if you have that facility, or running diagnostic tests on the card itself if you can.

Other than that, I wouldn't really be sure...unless the card is indeed jiggered. Don't play many games on this these days with the PC being quite old so have never looked at the issue really. Good luck in getting it sorted though.

  4. This morning I'm having trouble with a really annoying advert for WANTED which appears along the top (Angelina Jolie Film).

It appears to have an attached pop-up which is sneaking under my blocker (I'm using Firefox). I keep shutting it down and it keeps re-opening.

    Anyone any ideas??

I think because it's one of those rollover adverts rather than a pop up in the truest sense, it will be getting through.

On that note, I hate rollover adverts almost as much as pop ups. <_<

  5. Is Bruce's TV still on Well St? If so, that's the place to go.

I'd expect a TV to last 10-15 years. Replacing it after 6 is ludicrous. Although in todays world they are probably designed to break after a year or two to entice you to get a new, updated one as people don't seem to want to fix things much these days.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Remember my dad saying if a TV's likely to break, it's within its normal warranty time - other than that they're one of the last things to go.

Got a new TV earlier this year, after the previous had lasted around 10 years. There was nothing major wrong with it, other than a busted coax connection which I'm sure could have been fixed easily - just wanted a bigger licd (sic) type with more SCART etc ports and was digital ready for when we sort that all out. The other 3 in the house are considerably older even than that (living room one I know is 14)...including one in the kitchen that I think is even older than me!! :o

  6. Top 5...

    1. The Crystal Maze (has to be)

    2. QI

    3. Whose Line Is It Anyway (not fussed over the yankee/brit versions - they're both good)

    4. Have I Got News For You

    5. The Interceptor

    Bottom 5...

    1. I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here

    2. Big Brother

    3. Strictly Come Dancing

    4= Any pishy Cowell/Lloyd-Webber/whatever backed 'find-a-new-star-singer-to-make-me-more-money' shows

Oh, and Crispy - surprised you didn't mention Deal or No Deal...

  7. I thought so too, especially Red Dwarf . Series 1-5 were good then it fell apart with canned laughter and the rest of the crew's appearance.

OFAH still had laughs aplenty in its later series.

Red Dwarf's best series were 3 & 4 (particularly 3), where they were just generally mucking about. Episodes like Backwards, Polymorph, Dimension Jump (Ace Rimmer) etc. Brilliant stuff. 1 & 2 were alright by & large but adding Kryten to the mix as a main character helped it tremendously.

Was never big on series 5. Some people think Back to Reality is the best episode ever, but I think it's fairly average and that was the best episode that series by a distance. 6, 7 & 8 are all a mix of good episodes & bad...though to mention one from each...Gunmen of the Apocalypse, Stoke Me A Clipper & Krytie TV are particular classics that would easily have been good enough to be part of series 3. :)

  8. I was in Glasgow and popped into "Game" to get a couple of PS2 games for Sid Jnr. They had some toy electric guitars and a mini electric drumkit wired up to a PS3. There was a queue of pony-tailed fluff-faced freaks, not one of them under thirty, salivating and fidgeting disturbingly like Inspector Grim at a gay bukkaki session.

    Sad Bastards indeed!

I reckon there's a few of those types on here Jerry....

  9. Got it and completed it already B)

Good game, good ending, you kill pretty much everyone you work for.

From all I've heard, there's 2 different endings depending on choices you make in the game...like MGS a few years back?

  10. If I had/was planning to get, a PS3 or 360, it'd definitely be on the list to get. Looks fantastic and the online multiplayer should be a hoot, along with what I'm sure will be a typically great solo adventure.

But tbh, I just don't think I can justify spending several hundred quid on a new console now for a mere handful of games. There's just not enough I'm bothered about.

Still - hope you folks who do get it, enjoy it.

  11. Does that mean it is in the same room/bar as last year?

A bit cramped, was it not ? I remember there was abit of fuss about finding somewhere that allowed children - so i guess it was in there or nowhere?

Looking at possibly a different layout to last year to improve things. Mr Zo should be able to advise on that.

Fact is though, it's probably the best venue available despite the obvious flaws and they've been really accommodating - offering to put a buffet on etc. NSS's bowling club is a great venue but there was a feeling it would be best used when we could guarantee a great turnout, like last year after having stayed up. With how flat things have been this season though, could've been a bit of a let down for them. Hopefully have one in there one year when the team is playing better and there's more of a buzz about things though as they've been brilliant in the past. :)

  12. Thank you, Gentlemen.

If I get those tracks from you good Buddies for Ms Ching, I may once again be granted sex this decade!

There may even be a god...

...until I listen to the noise...

(an email address is on its way... :) )

"old Dario G song from the '98 World Cup?" I believe there are bagpipes included in it. She yelled when she heard it played in a pub on the Faroes...

"Some 'classic' hands-in-the-air Euro-house-disco-pop." If that's the belgian burd in the Youtube thing then that is it. After the Kinks my musical tastes never really progressed...

Yup, that's the one bud. Was played to death at the time. Tho I liked it. :)

    Email sent!

  13. As may have been observed, I'm an ancient git who disnae do music or noise and beyond the sound of my own voice, I like peace and quiet.

So I have had little desire for downloading or sticking plastic hearing-aid wedges in my lugs in order to be deafened.

I had no need of Napster or its ilk.

But Ms Ching has been nagging me about a couple of tracks that she loves down the gym during Spinning Classes, and wanted to me to find them online for her:

    Jessy - How long

    and

Carnival de Paris dunno if that's the name or artiste - think it's the artiste.

    All noise to me.

Is there any way of me getting these tracks without having to download and sign up for Napster or Limewire or whatever is required? I had a look at Napster freebie for a week but it required a biggish download and install and then signing-up and giving other details I don't want to betray for so little bloody ongoing gain. I dunno if I could even find the stuff she wants...

    Anyway...? Please?

Can anybuddie help an old soldier? (that's a tear-jerking lie, btw. I was only ever in the lifeboys)

If WYD was around I'm sure he would have copies of those noises... er... tracks... tunes?

    Carnival De Paris?

As in the old Dario G song from the '98 World Cup?

Aye, I've got that one at least. PM me your email and I'll send it on Ching....

  14. He did indeed...albeit with an assist from their 'keeper

It was good to see Dargo talking to and guiding Billy throughout the match yesterday. I see real promise in a Dargo/Mehmet partnership.

    Get Billy's contracted extended NOW!!!

Totally agree with that statement. Have thought it could work for some time, with Dargo taking the pressure off Mehmet, and Mehmet able to play the role of set up man for a proven goalscorer.

    Here's hoping so. :)

  15. Spot on.

You could go through the whole team and tear them to pieces. The only guy that managed pass marks was big Billy.

Quite agree - even without the goal (which was a stunner) he was our best player on the park by a country mile...not that it was saying much obviously.

His performance y'day gives me further hope that when Dargo does get into the side, they could form a workable partnership.

  16. Guy's I have stopped my standing order.

I would like to thank all the guy's involved in running SMISA , have appreciated all the hard work done by you guy's. Your a credit to St Mirren football club.

I joined SMISA in the beginning when the club was in financial trouble. . Now the debt is clear or soon will be and a new stadium is being built I feel now is the right time to leave.

I have also withdrawn my black and white magazine subscription or what ever it's called now. I was a gold bond member from the first week. How long is it since these things started up ? Near enough 15 years ? I have won absolutely nothing in all that time.

With both money's and a little extra I now put it into an account for hospitality. That way I get something and the club still make money.

    Thanks Again To Everyone.

Pity it's at Castle Greyskull.

Seriously Iain, fair do's. Football is by no means a cheap hobby without anything else adding to it. That said I do still think there's a lot SMiSA can do even if the immediate security of the club is resolved via the ground move.

Personally I hope the standing order amount will come down as per the vote in due course, though I'll continue paying my £10, and say how I want the cash used. :)
