  1. Ach who gives a stuff? Normal DVDs are fine for the time being until the prices come down to normal levels, unless you've got a truly ridiculous home-entertainment set up and stacks more cash than sense.
  2. There's a thread on the Supras forum which has a few ideas for this kind of thing Sidney. Clicky I've also got a copy of Adobe Photodeluxe from years ago - it was on a demo cd. You might be able to blag a free copy of that somewhere with it being old software. It'll certainly do the basics like changing colour/text etc.
  3. Andy Dow......... Kevin Twaddle...... Gary Bowman......... Jens Paeslack............ Klaus Dietrich (the Austrian trialist that played in the ICT 4-0 loss at LS which saw Hendrie out)....... All of them make the likes of McGinty & Mehmet look world class (a disturbing notion indeed).............
  4. Good stuff Div. Any chance you could add another one for a 'Most Hated Player' as well? You could have Main, Hartley, Grady etc....
  5. Apart from the white ring around them?
  6. Welcome back baldmeister. Like the skin, but there's always the problem with dark ones of smileys being a bit messed up, shame really.......
  7. If he does, you could be in line for a Pizza Hut advert..........
  8. Ahhh lovely. I shall treasure that clip.
  9. Indeed, Dwayne Johnson himself would've been proud of your electrified gerbil selling imitation..............
  10. As were yours at penalties..........
  11. Excellent move. The U18 issue was a killer for Fury's imo. Nothing against the place other than that. Should be an excellent night now.
  12. I see they took our league title away. Bastards.
  13. Indeed Wullie, I'm less than happy about it with the youngsters on the Beggars & CW and have said that to the guys. They're reviewing the U18 situation now and seeing if a solution of some kind can be reached.
  14. It must be awfully, awfully rotten to be ginger.............
  15. That's really bad that. I've heard it said that our club are pretty poorly run a few times but that beggars belief.
  16. I believe the last membership count was 110 at the last meeting I was at. I'd tend to agree with the need to look at the way SMiSA handles its membership subscription. I have said many a time I think the £10 a month minimum is simply too much. While I'm happy to keep paying my £10 every month I'd be inclined to make it a minimum of £5 a month at least, though there's a strong argument for a reduction to administration costs only if it wants to become a real voice among the Saints support rather than a vehicle to raise funds with the club being in a far more buoyant position after the ground move. As I understand it, that was always the plan after it had obtained enough shares to either be in a position to call an EGM and/or obtain a seat on the board. If however there's little real desire to do that (as you may argue is evident), then yes, it would be time to radically change the way it operates. Many other supporters trusts are in a similar position in having to find a new role for themselves. Something which I think is good is the increased focus on community projects which SMiSA has undertaken, for example the Show Racism the Red Card 'Design a Poster' competition, which saw thousands of leaflets about SRtRC and St Mirren given to P5, 6 & 7 year olds via the schools, with some absolutely stunning entries displayed at the Museum. That was something I was pretty heavily involved in preparing and it was quite something to see just how good the uptake was, standing at at least 300 with many more arriving late. I believe Cardiff City Council ran a similar program and got 1 participant. Kinda says it all that.
  17. I'd imagine in future, once we're at our new home then there may well be an 'official' player of the year night held at the stadium in the anticipated new conference/banqueting hall, with all the clubs & groups attending. As it stands, I thought last year's handling of the Player of the Year awards was very disappointing. The various clubs and groups (including both the Beggars and SMiSA) were rushed on and off the park as quickly as possible and generally seen from all I've gathered as an inconvenience the club would rather not have dealt with. From my perspective SMiSA are just trying to ensure that there's some kind of event that the club are going to get involved with, from their own end - and if the travel clubs want to join in then they're more than welcome. I'm all for the various clubs having their own event and co-ordinated in such a way as people could attend some/all of them instead of necessarily just one (believe me, it'd do the Beggars no harm! ) but I think it's going to be increasingly difficult to get players along to them sadly. The timing and venue for this year's aren't perhaps the best but there were few options really, especially with the early kick off. As much as I wanted to see the FA Cup Final this year I'd much prefer missing it so we can have a 3pm kickoff. If we had, there should've seen a more normal time for the festivities. Way I see it is a single event isn't ideal, but if it does have to be like that then it should be the best it can possibly be and everyone should be involved - would defo have loved to have seen one at the Town Hall last year, that would've been fantastic imo.
  18. Figured this would be the best area to post this....mods, feel free to move if you wish. SMiSA are organising a P.o.t.Y. event which will be held at Fury Murrays in Shuttle Street on Saturday 19th May at 4.00pm after the ICT game at Love Street. All Saints travel clubs and websites are welcome to present their awards at the event if they wish. To organise that please just send us an email. Tickets will cost £2.00 and will be available from this Saturday (May 5th) onwards, with further details to be announced. Each bus will get an allocation of tickets and can keep the money they raise.
  19. It'll be utter shite.... Fairytale of New York/Goodbye Horses/Young Offender megamix................
  20. My lovely horse....running through the fields......
  21. Shouldn't this be moved to the nightshift as well then.............
  22. I find that pretty off putting as well. I rarely find any problem in understanding foreign accents in that manner when they are speaking English so likewise don't see the need for it. With my mum's family I hear the Derby/East Midlands accent a fair bit. For the most part I find it unbearably dull I must say.
  23. All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health.......... What have the romans ever done for us............
