  1. Didn't Andy Robertson and Lyndon Dykes go from Queens Park to the Scottish Premiership too? I guess these players would also have been beneath @Ethan?
  2. Continuing with the ad hominem attacks I see antrin. I thought you moral high-grounders were above all that? BTW, I've had both jags.
  3. Honestly, it's no surprise to me that you can't answer any of my questions. You knicker wetters have been struggling with these perfectly reasonable questions for months now.
  4. The only person digging a hole is the person who is talking shite about the NHS being on very thin ice right now with the covid situation and also constructing baffling strawman arguments about who cares or doesn't care about 140,000 deaths last year. And that ain't me bud.
  5. I think you're right about that last sentence. I think as long as they feel they have the cases under control in an area that she'll resist further restrictions otherwise, like you say, we'll be playing musical "covid levels" until the sun burns itself out.
  6. The number Nicola quoted was the number of new cases on that day, not the amount that have the virus. Thanks. Wasn't entirely sure. TBH, there's so much abuse of statistics going on it's hard to know what to trust anymore.
  7. Wow. More mansplaining. What a thread this is turning out to be. Where would we be without you and BOK?
  8. The NHS is NOT on very thin ice as regards covid. End of story. Nice touch accusing me of taking the moral high ground and then bringing up how I may or may not feel about the deaths last year. Nobody is talking about forgetting those deaths. Nobody is talking about mocking those who want to remember them either. Only you are bringing that up. Classy as usual antrin.
  9. Oh thank the LORD you are here to mansplain this to me. Phew. For a minute I was kerfuffled. You'll need to show me, however, where I said the vaccines would cure someone who currently has covid. You appear to have entirely fabricated that. BTW. Talking of last year? Can you think of one big difference this year? Anything at all? Begins with a v. Rather than being a dick, why don't you enlighten us all on how YOU think the endgame for all of this should work out. If vaccines aren't the answer then what's the f**king point? Where are we going? Zero deaths? We already have that. Zero hospitalisations? Pretty close to that. Zero cases? Well, we're pretty close to that too. At what point do people like you stop pissing your frillies?
  10. Very surprised at East Renfrewshire staying at 2 but pleased to hear it. The population is 95,000 and there are 118 per 100k cases. Sturgeon in the BBC article today said there were only 17 or 18 cases though so I'm a bit confused about what's going on. Can you shed any light from where you are? Typo in the article?
  11. Aye. It's called a vaccine. This post illustrates the very problem many people face now after a year of fear mongering. Letting go of that fear is going to be a nightmare for many. There will always be another variant despite all evidence showing that our vaccines deal with it. And when there isn't, there will always be the fear of another variant appearing from the mists. Then when others stop being afraid of this thing, the "don't you care about the hundred and forty thousand who got killed?" will be hauled out of their pocket. They will never drop the fear and will never allow others to move on either. BTW, the NHS is skating on very thin ice is it? There's less than 100 people in hospital across the entire country and about 4 people in ICU. How on earth is that very thin ice?
  12. Right I'm away for my 2nd jag. If I'm not back on here by the weekend you'll all know a blood clot got me.
  13. When you register online using that username it'll ask you to create a password. ETA Oh FFS, I'm late to the party as usual.
  14. I appreciate that and TBH, I'm gutted Griffiths isn't going because like you, when it comes to a free kick or poaching, I'd want him to be on the pitch in that position. It's a tough call. Like others, I think the only player I'd swap would be Fleck and someone else, either Morgan or Gauld maybe but I trust Stevie to make the right call there. Ideally it would have been Jack but with him being out we've lost that option.
  15. I've already told you. It happened years ago when we restricted the number of foreign players in the 1st team. That rammed up the prices of Scottish players as would be expected. If I remember correctly, it also harmed our performances in Europe. Either way, it was ditched.
  16. Something new yes. Something we've tried before and didn't get it to work? Not so much.
  17. Ryan Christie has scored 4 in 18 for Scotland. Leigh Griffiths has scored 4 in 22. On that basis alone, Christie is a better option. He also works harder and is fitter and full of confidence. Forrest is just back from injury but IMO is still a better option that Griffiths. I think it's game over at international level for him now.
  18. Providing you've not been a numpty and thrown out your old invitation letter containing your unique username. Kept the 2nd jag letter this time round.
  19. Anyway, back to the topic. If someone can show me how imposing quotas (both U21 and foreign players) will avoid the hike in price of Scottish-based players which happened the last time we tried it, I'm all ears.
  20. A quick check of my own suggests 15, maybe 18 but the last 3 I'm not sure about. Some of those 15 actively loathe each other and wouldn't agree the colour of shite so I'm not sure whose "bandwagon" you think we're all jumping onto. I'm not going to argue with you though.
  21. It's not a few, it's well into double figures actually. Well into. Not quite 20. Not yet. But it's getting there. If you want to call that sort of quantity a "few" then I suppose you are welcome to delude yourself.
  22. Fair enough. Thanks for clarifying.
  23. Oh and while I'm at it, you appear to have wrongly concluded that I think, people should avoid the vaccine. I don't. I think they SHOULD take it. Because it's best for everyone. But I'm not about to start finger-wagging and trying to force them to do anything. Neither am I going to start yelling insults via some form of "moral compass". That is not how you persuade anyone to do anything. Persuasion is absolutely the only way and you don't persuade anyone to do anything by telling them they are acting in an immoral, selfish manner. Calm doon FFS. We're actually on the same page over this.
  24. And there is some merit in this argument. The threat of vaccine passports might be another although I would resist actually imposing them for real.
