  1. I could be wrong but I'm not convinced that this deal is off. If this crook was only brokering the deal what's to stop the consortium pushing on without him? Or am I missing something?
  2. If, this is all as good as reported its a no brainer for me. Always going to be an element of risk but due to the situation our current BOD find themselves in we're never going to progress under the current stewardship. Hope it goes through very soon though so we have a couple of weeks of the transfer window left. Graeme is always spot on with his Saints news so no reason to doubt the source.
  3. Just not used to hearing you express yourself with such verbosity.
  4. I'd hope not, I'd fear a Dennis Wyness type scenario if we signed him.
  5. I thought I'd read something to that effect, glad you confirmed he deleted it, I thought I'd imagined it.
  6. The very fact the board have made an official statement re this today suggests to me that we're going to cash in on him this time round. I just hope it's for the right price and in Kenny's case to the right club.
  7. Very noticeable that on the penalty decision captain McAusland had to be pulled away from shouting at the ref by Goodwin, I'd give Goodwin the captaincy back as it doesn't look like Thommo needs that extra pressure right now and McAusland isn't an able deputy.
  8. Deciding on a worst player is always a difficult one I think. To me it's not just as simple as worst player ever seen(which would be Gary McVie)it's more worst player that made a number of appearances and therefore continued to look the antithesis of a footballer over a period of time rather than just one game or a couple of sub appearances. I saw McVie play once(badly), Kelechie Okorie likewise. Neil Orr was pish for a while, Brian Smith played infrequently and was always crap, Jim Gardner was consistently awful. Taking all into consideration I'd have to give a joint equal award to Mo Camara and Mikael Renfrum. Both wage thieves of the highest order.
  9. Ever thought that he maybe thinks you're a bellend?
  10. Yeah because I always post the names of potential stars in forums of clubs I don't support.
  11. I'd give Teale and Longwell till the end of the season, Teale has the team playing with a freedom that hasn't been seen for a long time. The transformation of McGinn and McLean is outstanding. Longwell's experience with the youth players seems to be paying dividends as well.
  12. Here http://www.footballcourier.com/news/story/3666461/football-caldwell-buddies-still-searching.html
  13. I always find these type of appointments very interesting, guys who have played at a decent level keen to get their foot on the managerial ladder.I'd sooner give the job to Teale though, there's nothing to suggest this guy has decent contacts or experience.
  14. Which is where the problem would lie I reckon. Malpas is an excellent coach and Butcher is more the motivator of the partnership, it's been proven that they don't work too well without each other.
  15. All this chat of wheeling and dealing is all well and good but I can't see much if any movement in January, I'd be shocked if there's much budget available and other than McLean and McGinn, I don't see anyone bring willing to spend money on any of our players. If we try to ship out any of the duds it reeks a bit of what happened with Imrie and Guy, ie costing us money to get rid.
  16. I can see what they've gone down that route as well, Hendrie and Lennon were both successful appointments.
  17. Anyone who thinks either him or Cheesy are our worst centre halves ever obviously never had the pleasure of seeing Ronnie McQuilter or Neill Orr.
  18. Potter had a few good years with Saints. Sadly he'll be remembered for his last season and a bit when him and Barlow got the fear whenever 83 mins came up and we started chucking away goals. Smashing lad as well, hope he does well at the Pars.
  19. No just that he's under contract and therefore would command a fee.
  20. I listened to Billy McKinlay the other week on Sportsound and he came across really well, highly respected coach down south and was sounding quite positive about managing in Scotland as the Well job had just come up.He's gone to Sociedad as Moyes' assistant since.
  21. He's still got his house in Dalgety Bay, I doubt he'd be interested in managing us.
  22. Kenny Sheils for me, very focussed on bringing youths through which is the way we have to go, rather than taking numerous loanees from England.
  23. Hopefully Gilmour will change the locks while he's away.
