  1. I'm inclined to think if Craig gets the bullet that Goodwin and Teale would step up for the remainder of the season. Not saying it'd be my choice but I think it'll be the boards next move to continue the stalling until the sale goes through.
  2. I wouldn't be too confident of that if I was him, he's already signed 3 shit strikers, does he honestly think the board will give him money to sign another one?
  3. Why for having the audacity to want someone better than Lennon or Craig in post?
  4. Different debate but it was time for Lennon to go IF as we all expected he was to be replaced by someone to take us forward.Since Craig was appointed I'd have rather kept Lennon, at least he knew how to keep us up, I fear Craig doesn't have the wherewithal to achieve this.
  5. You've got to think he's clinging onto his job at the moment by saying he's got 6 players out and therefore wants the chance to get them back. The danger is, any replacement would need the transfer window to rectify things.
  6. Of course they were but I think he'll be given a month or so till he has the opportunity to play his strongest team.Unfortunately for him it probably won't make much difference as only Thommo and McGinn from that list will make a difference I reckon.
  7. Just watched Sportscene from last night. Ignoring his bizarre team selection(which reeked of desperation)his post match comments are a sackable offence in my opinion. He won't resign or be sacked though. I think he'll get till the end of the year, until he's got a few of our better players back. There's no doubt that Goodwin, Thommo, Wylde, Osbourne, Plummer and McGinn returning would make a massive difference however I have my suspicions that Osbourne will never be fit and that Plummer isn't interested.
  8. He's a poor footballer but he's definitely not slow, pace is his only attribute.
  9. You do realise that it's acceptable to not moan about anyone?
  10. Seen Drury a couple of times now, nowhere near good enough to merit a starting place.
  11. Last night proved to me the danger of running with a very small squad. We had Thommo, Plummer, McGinn, Naismith, Teale(injured early)out. The guys we have in reserve i.e. Drury, Caldwell, Reilly etc just aren't good enough. Only positive for me last night was Callum Ball, he put in a great shift and looks like he'll be a great asset when fully fit.
  12. I've a sneaky feeling it's McFadden.
  13. A mate of mine is the manager of Lochgelly Albert who lost to Whitburn today. He met Hendrie and said he was an absolute gent, at no point did he consider jumping on his back Gary Mackay style.
  14. Quite insulting? You're joking aren't you? Considering the abuse that our players and staff take on here and on a Saturday I think knickerwetters is pretty mild.
  15. It's pretty simple though, rightly or wrongly(wrongly in my opinion) the current and previous managers consider Marc to be good enough so if Craig remains in charge Marc will continue to be a first pick alongside Plummer so we're as well dealing with it and giving the guy our full support.
  16. Very nervous 1st half from us last night. Gamble to start Osbourne and Thommo, sadly didn't really pay off for either. Biggest concern for me was that we don't really know what we're supposed to be doing and at no point did McGinn or McLean look like bossing the midfield. I don't know what Drury has done to deserve a starting slot so early on, surely we'd be better starting with Teale or Reilly and bringing him on later to get him settled in, he looks a bit lost. Tommy obviously has a lot of work to do which he's obviously aware of, most important thing is that we're in the draw for the next round.
  17. This game can kick start the season, put 3 or more past the Pars, keep a clean sheet and the season is off and running. I don't want to think about losing.
  18. Is there an amount of games that Naismith has to play at right back to trigger the 'natural right back' tag?
  19. Excellent signing, squad complete!
  20. This potential signing is dragging on similar to Adam Campbell.
  21. Still getting stick despite the fact he wasn't even playing tonight.
  22. Something to do with their Euro games maybe?
  23. Being honest, I don't think this negativity is purely exclusive to St Mirren related boards. You only have to scan through twitter or Facebook these days to see the amount of negative rubbish that is posted relating to football clubs and their attempts to stay afloat whilst still pleasing fans. The reason I joined this forum was to keep abreast of team news, potential signings as well as have a bit of banter with fellow fans. Sadly the amount of negative drivel on here really makes it hard to read at times, the numerous fake accounts trolling the same crap don't make it easy either. Not everyone agrees with board or management decisions all the time which gives rise to some lively debate but supporters are meant to support their team.
