It was telling that Stephen Thomson did not try to defend Jim Goodwin. His comment on Sportscene showed his disappointment. Regardless of who is right on culpability in this debate it must be obvious that we are seriously hampered as a team every time Jim is sent off. That is not going to change.

Brilliant day out. Played with Gary Teale plus two local boys, Ian and Les. Gary hits the ball for miles, but, unsurprisingly, as he plays only two or three times a year, has trouble keeping it on the planet! The guy is an absolute gentleman as were all the other players and management we met. We were beaten by 1 stroke having holed absolutely nothing all the way round. (Cue everyone else saying much the same thing). Thanks to all who made the day a success. Roll on next year. Robert
