Just back , I asked tommy a lot of questions tonight and it was myself that made the comment at the end , all I said was that he was a good coach not a manager in my opinion , then he said he thought long and hard about accepting the job , I then said I wish u never. Maybe it was over the top but that's my opinion and the way I feel although in retrospect perhaps I should have went tomorrow rather than tonight , overall I was unimpressed with Tommys answers , he admitted his signings have been failures , Infact he held his hands up to most things at the end of the day he is completely inept to be the manager of our club and he demonstrated that tonight

    SMiSA increase shareholding in St.Mirren
When SMISA, The St.Mirren Supporters Trust was set up, one of its main objectives was to establish a shareholding in St. Mirren F.C Ltd to create a valid voice for the fans in the running of the club. For the purpose of purchasing shares members subscribed £10 per month.
Trusts have been particularly effective at other clubs which have embraced the involvement of fans in the board room. Dundee United for example have a full director and an associate director who have been appointed through the Arab Trust.
Regrettably, this is not the case at Saints and while in its early years SMISA was able to purchase 3877 shares from the club funded by its members subscriptions, in recent years, the club have refused numerous requests from SMISA to buy more shares. As a result SMISA had to stop accepting funds from its members for share purchase and subscriptions were reduced to £2 per month. By that time, SMISA had accumulated £50K in cash and the SMISA Board decided to use its cash to purchase shares from private shareholders. This was done with extreme reluctance as obviously the money would go to individuals rather than the club.
The first wave of share purchases has been successfully completed and SMISA now owns in excess of 5000 shares. Wave 2 is now under way and the SMISA Board is very optimistic that a further substantial increase in our shareholding will be achieved soon.
If you are a shareholder interested in selling your shares, please contact us. The constitution of the trust does not allow SMISA to sell shares so you can be assured that your shares will be held in perpetuity by a trust of Saints fans with a democratically elected board.
Meantime with the current long running uncertainty over the future ownership of our club, it has never been more important to have a strong representative trust. Our ranks are growing but please don't leave it to others. Join us now and add your opinions and your voice as a Saints Fan.

I went along to this on saturday night, the meal was quite good (apart from the shredded red cabbage) Kenny Mclean,John Mcginn,Thomas Reilly,Jason Naismith,Sean Kelly and a few other young players were there, David Barron and Ludo were at other tables, David Longwell was also there,no sign of the first team manager or coaches and no Board members (unless they were ones i couldnt put a name to)
Not sure if i was too miffed that the first team manager and coaches were not there - it might have meant that the draw would not have happened and nobody would have won anything.

the SMiSA Panda Club to date has been averaging an attendance of 50 kids at every home match
On Saturday, the first day of the reduced fees due to the rebranding, had an attendance of 92 !
a massive thanks to those involved in making this happen, you know who you are ! and continued thanks to all SMiSA members.
maybe one day every supporter will realise just how much difference £2 a month can make to the future of our club

I am a season ticket holder and it breaks my heart 2 say 4 the first time a wont be back while Tommy Craig is in charge. It's not Tommy's fault he took the job on but they got rid of Danny Lennon because they wanted something different which is fair enough but to bring his number two in was not only the cheap option but a recipe for worse football than we had previously.
We need a leader IMO we have brought through too many youngsters at the one time and played played some of the worst football ave ever seen. Please do us a massive favour BoD save our season and appoint a new manager who can keep us up before it's too late

What we would we be thanking him for? 1 point at home? A lucky spell of three games where we got 7 of our 8 points? Or, for signing a bunch of piss poor ( and I can't justify - forward/striker ) goal scoring machines?
Agree with Thommo though, he couldn't be blamed if/when we drop.
Yes you would, but football managers get paid out for being failures. Why they don't operate under the same rules as any other employee is beyond me.
Well, I for one won't be there. My brother who was a regular, no games this season. My friend, another lifelong bud has been to 2 games max. The 'loyal' ex-season ticket holders are drifting away and that cannot be good. I only go to get away from the Mrs (misses), a saturday at home begins to look more appealing the longer TC remains.
I remember a chant of "you don't know what you're doing" directed at GMcP. Can't remember who he took off (might have been perma-crock Dargo, but it wasn't a popular choice with the other managers in the Westbank.
I think the sooner TC goes the better. I've never felt this strongly about previous managers, I did want Gus out (no regrets) and Danny not to be re-hired but not with the passion to get Tank Top Tommy out.

If an individual came along and wanted to invest £250k in the club by purchasing unisssued shares, would the consortium/ board bite their hand off or knock it back as it would dilute the 52%.
An option of course would be for the Douglas Street to match the purchase.
Just all in theory of course, who would invest that sort of money in St Mirren ?

Calling all St Mirren fans...your Supporters' Trust Needs You!

As the potential club sale drags on and on, big question marks remain over the future direction of St Mirren FC.

That's why it has never been more important for there to be a strong voice to represent you, the fans, to any current or future owner of the club.

SMISA is already the largest grouping of St Mirren fans but we need more members to realise our ultimate aim of meaningful supporter involvement in the running of the club.

You could sign up to be a member of the trust for just £2 per month. Want to know more about the benefits?

For two or so years now SMiSA, The St.Mirren Supporters Trust, has been on the face of it relatively quiet and has not been in a position to pursue its aims and purpose as vigorously as we would all have liked. Although situations out with our control such as the inability to purchase unissued shares in St.Mirren thus restricting our investment in the club and the focus of all connected with the club on the unsuccessful bid for community ownership, SMiSA has still continued with ongoing Youth Development sponsorship, organised various events for the fans and general financial support for the club, such as providing the bulk of the funding for the dome.

Having since reorganised the committee and with the willingness of some individual members to get involved has provided us with a new impetus to get our targets back on track.

The changing face of football finances and the seemingly out of control ownership issues of football clubs generally provided the realisation that sitting on a large sum of money that was going nowhere coupled with the needs or the desire of the consortium to sell their majority shareholding to a single owner would diminish our long held belief of any independent supporter representation on the board of St.Mirren, where ultimately the potential future of our club could end up in the hands of any individual who may have no concern or moral obligation to St.Mirren, it’s fans or the community it represents, but perhaps they may only be interested in the club as a personal trophy or even just the value of the assets of the club !

You may consider this unlikely based on the current circumstances at St.Mirren but some fans of other Scottish clubs also thought the same when their clubs handed over the majority shareholding to seemingly credible individuals such as Brooks Mileson, Craig Whyte, Angelo Massone, or Vladimir Romanov.

It is becoming more prevalent for the stability and long term future of clubs for the decision makers and the custodians of the club to be made up of people who have a lifelong affiliation with it.

    That’ll be you !

To ensure St.Mirren remains in the hands of its supporters for the next 137 years as it has done for the past 137, it needs the fans of today to be willing to contribute to the development of the club and be a part of a consolidated voice of the vast majority and for the club to grow and thrive from that base of enthusiasm and involvement.

The St.Mirren Supporters Trust intend for this group representation to be realised in a number of ways……

To increase the trust membership to include every fan who has an association with St.Mirren.

To increase the trust shareholding in St.Mirren through ongoing private share purchase.

To gain backing and involvement from all local political and business partners within Renfrewshire.

To use the experience and government backed involvement of Supporters Direct.

If you are part of any of the above groups we would love to hear from you but most of all we need you to join the Trust and become a member of SMiSA

For as little as £2 per month you will be playing your part in helping to ensure all fans have a strong collective representation in St.Mirren, allow ongoing sponsorship and positive results of the Youth Development facility at Ralston and ensure the continuation of supporter related events.

I have come to a decision that I never thought I would today. After leaving the ground watching the players fold again I will not be going to anymore away games until they at least start showing some fight.
TC is infuriating. 2 weeks ago we got beat by Inverness he blamed the attackers, last week we drew with Ross County and he blamed the defenders and now this week it's the attackers again. TC needs to take a long hard look at himself for his performance so far and his signings in the summer. The BOD need to take a look at themselves as well after appointing him in the summer.
I'm not going to single players out for today or the rest of the season the fault lies firmly at the managers and BOD feet for this season.

Late on in the game Van Dijk went down and milked a challenge to try and waste time , the ref waved play on and Celtic kicked the ball out , Van Dijk was booed by the crowd and called a cheat , and he looked up and smiled .
That's what I saw from my seat , it might not be the incident that is being referred to , and it may be the case that he saw something else when he glanced up at the crowd , to see who was booing him . Was probably in the front rows of W2.

Can't believe you've picked out Drury of all people to slag off. The boy was up and down the line, tracked back and was always an out ball for the defence to try and find. Not to mention busting a gut to get in at the back post for the goal.
On an unrelated note, it's frankly embarrassing that Marc Mcausland is a starting Cb never mind Vice Captain. I honestly think other teams strikers must jizz their pants when they play against him. Probably get a new contract soon from daddy...
