  1. 3 year extension, might as well take us as low as he can. There's only one option and that is to kick the old fart out on his arse. BOD will do what's best for St.Mirren..... hopefully.
  2. Ok, I'll do it for hotdogs then..... Just feed me.
  3. I'll do it for free pies............. Not sure the club can afford me!!
  4. Stayed away today and glad I did TBH. I will not be back whilst TC is 'managing' the team being supported by a BOD that appear to have given up the ghost. I questioned them last season but this farce of a season has convinced me that they also need to go. I know how much they've done for the club and I am thankful for all their (past) hard work. Now they are just coasting along to our inevitable drop back to the lower league(s). What the hell are they thinking? Will there be more buyers lining up to purchase a lower league team? Possibly, but not for the unrealistic amount that they are demanding at the moment. It's a buyers market and no one wants to pay what they are demanding. Time for the board to do what is right by St.Mirren, either sell up for a realistic price or get involved again. First thing on the agenda is give TC the bullet.
  5. I can't believe anyone is willing to defend TC's childish antics when asked relevant questions about our situation by the media, his lack of response is treating the fans with contempt. Not just the fans that are voicing their opinion at games but all St.Mirren fans, refusing to answer because some fans, a minority, have shouted at him is pathetic. A 64 year old acting like a petulant teenager. As for 'judge me on a fit squad', let's just judge him on a squad that has scored 10 goals, conceded 25 and amassed a massive 8 points in 14 games. Would a fit Thommo resolve our goals against problem? I was never going tomorrow as I'm cheesed off, I am seriously considering not returning until this eejit has gone. Not a season ticket holder so revenue lost.
  6. Could any manager do worse? He is not a manager. Would he inspire you to perform better? He looks like a silly old fud in a tank-top that is out of his depth and doesn't know what he's talking about. And that is what he is, to our detriment.
  7. What we would we be thanking him for? 1 point at home? A lucky spell of three games where we got 7 of our 8 points? Or, for signing a bunch of piss poor ( and I can't justify - forward/striker ) goal scoring machines? Agree with Thommo though, he couldn't be blamed if/when we drop. Yes you would, but football managers get paid out for being failures. Why they don't operate under the same rules as any other employee is beyond me. Well, I for one won't be there. My brother who was a regular, no games this season. My friend, another lifelong bud has been to 2 games max. The 'loyal' ex-season ticket holders are drifting away and that cannot be good. I only go to get away from the Mrs (misses), a saturday at home begins to look more appealing the longer TC remains. I remember a chant of "you don't know what you're doing" directed at GMcP. Can't remember who he took off (might have been perma-crock Dargo, but it wasn't a popular choice with the other managers in the Westbank. I think the sooner TC goes the better. I've never felt this strongly about previous managers, I did want Gus out (no regrets) and Danny not to be re-hired but not with the passion to get Tank Top Tommy out.
  8. We played well today and with a fit finisher we could well have taken all 3 points, didn't deserve to lose IMO. Plummer looks a player to me, cool, calm and collected. Tesselar was also very good and I think Kelly will be hard pushed to get his position back. As for Goodwin. First tackle was late and stupid, a booking for sure. Second booking, I thought dissent but quite a few 'Well fans on P&B are saying he swung an elbow at Sutton. I noticed Tess going over to the linesman to query the second offence which makes me feel the lino saw something rather than Goodwin mouthing off. Either way, he needs to show some restraint, let his team mates down badly today. This level of performance should see us take the points mid-week but the sooner Thommo is back the better. Edit for god awful spelling.
  9. If this wasn't the first game of the season i wouldn't be going, the usual pre-season optimism has got me all excited!! I'm not too bothered about paying a whole 3 quid more than we charge, they can charge what they want and if that stops folk turning up that's their problem. I would only go there again if it was a cup game or crucial to us.
  10. If we sign those two I'll be looking for overtime on Saturdays. I hope with all my heart that we sign neither of these duds. Both of them are well past their use by date, Novo had a decent record, Fallon - words fail me.
  11. You sound like a c**t all the time. Bubbling away/under. Met Aber just once and to be honest, he was a typical lad out on the lash. Looking for a laugh, a drink, a bird and a kebab. What's not to like? Unfortunately, his demons got the better of him. Nobody is perfect........... Not even lovestreet.
  12. I'd keep the 3000 or so ST holders ( the real fans). The rest can feck off apart from Thommo and Teale. The only one we would struggle to keep is McGinn, McGowan will fail to meet his potential.
  13. If that's true i can only surmise that you are less than 21, 11 may be pushing it. Puberty will surprise you...... Good luck Numptey!
  14. Are the board going to listen to 30/40/50 at a push numpties? We need to BOOO the team at every chance we can or maybe............. Support them,,,,,,,,,, Strange but it may have more effect than standing in the rain when the sensible fans have gone home. I'll bring you a hotwater bottle about 11 to keep you comfy, ya eejit.
  15. I'm jumping straight in at the deep end after reading the first/second line of OP. The sale of the club has, IMO, been the priority of the current board for at least the last two seasons. The club has had no direction or investment because the current board want out, they've done a sterling job but enough is enough. Unfortunately, there's nobody wanting to take on a lower top/ 1st division club. And who could blame them? It's not like the over inflated EPL where money keeps these clubs viable..... God help them if it goes tit's up. We're probably going down and i can't help but think the current board, that saved us from extinction, are culpable.
  16. Guess again. Who we have seen in the past has nothing to do with the sterling job that the thomohawk has done to try and keep us up this season. Have you celebrated any of this ' wasted wage' players goals this, or any other , seasons? If you have you're a complete numpty, which i'm pretty sure you are....... and i'm being generous. I want to see you stand up in any stand at Greenhill road and spout the pish you spout here, even the kiddie stand would rip you to bits. Now piss off and don't come back. Wishful thinking. As for Yardley...... what was the highest level he got to? A few outings in the season we were relegated....... Guess he was a lot better than cup winning, non-relegated thommo? Yardley was a good forward in the 1st division, nothing against him.
  17. There's been some shit posted on this forum over the years, myself included, but you have taken it far as it can go. Thompson overpaid and not performing? Nine goals in a team that has struggled all season, 3rd top Scottish player, 5th top scorer. How many goals do you expect him to score at this point in the season? 20? A poor return by any standards. 30? Think you might find that passable. 40...... Now you're talking. The man is a wage thief and should never wear the stripes again. The 5 players that have scored more this season are all top 6, 4 of the 5 below him are also top 6. He's just not good enough! As for the highlighted bold........... Welcome back to the 1st division. Edit. I'm in no way trying to defend Lennon.
  18. I'd like to retract my previous post......... If Farawaysaint likes it it must be pish......lol Only kidding or am i?
  19. You're off yer rocker. Any half decent player will jump ship, attendances will drop as will the budget. We would struggle to return straight away and the longer we fail to bounce back the harder it will be. As for cup wins, and i know they only come once or twice in a lifetime, we're pumped. We've never reached a final outside of the top league and that wouldn't change in the chumpionship. Apart from that........... Good thread.
  20. Surely anyone that affords our current centre halfs more protection is an improvement? You defend from the front backwards, stop their midfielders and there's less pressure on our defence. I'm quite optimistic about this signing, my only reservation would be his match fitness.
  21. Alex Smith and Jimmy Bone were in the audience after the 87 Scottish cup win and were actually interviewed, changed days now with the EPL and Champions (top four or five) league taking all the attention. Fergie's goal was shown too, don't think any players were there but I could be wrong.
  22. Half full, half empty(you). We never looked like winning until the dons game, maybe killie. DEEP BREATH..................... ......................... ........................ 4 Points from the last 6.................PANIC!!!!!!!!!!
