Obvious answer.
Put a winning/strong/challenging team on park. If we could do a top six Premiership team like our giant rivals Hamilton/Ross C/Inverness/St J etc we could get back to 5K home supports.
Big difference from the 2,500 home fans from last few games at GHR.

Had to laugh before the season started, and now at the very optimistic attendances posters thought visiting teams would bring. Seem to remember even the website owner predicted Dumbarton would bring over 500.

A winning team is what will draw bigger gates.
Even if the stadium was indoors with central heating, cushioned seats and free entrance and a free pint it wouldn't increase attendances.
Fans will turn out in shite conditions and pay over the odds prices if the team is winning.
Winning is all that matters.

A winning team is your best option but l will gladly pay to see entertaining football and a team that gives everything. Not sure l would be going at present if l didn't have season ticket as twenty quid is far too much for what we are being offered weekly

Pricing has been proven to make very little difference. If we halved the price from 20 to 10 would the crowd double? Nope, so it's not in the clubs interest to do it.
What increases attendances is simply a winning team on the pitch. I don't believe any other factor contributes anywhere near as much as that.

Murray7 reacted to Ayrshireman in St Mirren Under 20's 2015/16
Just looked up the rules of the SPFL Development League and believe it or not it is 5 in a squad of 18, i didnae think it was as many as that.

I think you are allowed to play a maximum of three over age players.

Murray7 reacted to Big Jake in Allan Russell - Superior Striker
Played with Orange County Blues. Opportunity missed by the newco there. I bet they wished they'd thought of that for a name instead of Sevco 5088.

Murray7 reacted to div in Welcome Home Saints Legend , Tony Fitzpatrick
I'd be delighted to have Tony back for what would be his 5th spell at the club.
Can't think of anyone with more enthusiasm and passion for the club than he does.
Big shoes to fill IMO but I think he ticks a lot of the boxes for me anyway!

Murray7 reacted to class of 76-77 in Speculation Thread
Because the man lives and breathes St Mirren, he's a club legend and will without doubt play a vital part in recruiting players with his infectious enthusiasm for this great club.

Better days lie ahead. I'll put my head on the block and say we are at the very bottom of the curve right now.
Some interesting days ahead.
