Alex Miller would be a horrendous appointment, if anything things have got worse since he arrived.
Jimmy Calderwood ticks all the boxes for us until the end of the season.

Paisley St Mirren , a team from the country's biggest town. Considering that last sentence in itself is enough to serve up an understanding and level of historic underachievement in footballing terms. We have had in my lifetime a couple of eras where things were exciting , Ferguson, Clunie, Hendrie had spells where there was a certain magic and excitement. Smith and Lennon gave us a cup. So, in forty five years say, we have had spells of delight interspersed with fallow brittle football that was more akin to a punishment exercise than any form of supporter enjoyment.
What I am looking for in my team is a few traits......maybe some miracle worker is out there waiting for their calling.
I'd love us to play with a tempo that was high pressing and adventurous
I'd love us to adopt an attitude and look to boss teams into the turf on occasions
I'd not expect us to win all the time, just to play with a swagger now and again, get tore in and serve the fans some honest efforts
I'd love St Miren to be an exciting team to follow, not the grim stubborn turgid limited team we have had over recent years.
I'd love a new bod and a unity with the town and the team.
That's all I want for Christmas, well, that and a nice woolly new Saints scarf

The club really need a qualified marketing person / people to get things done, its the usual story of peanuts n monkeys. Why are they not offering internships to marketing students to get experience?

His overall contribution is below par? What exactly are you expecting from a midfielder in his first full season in senior football? It's not December yet and he already has 5 goals. How many goals would be above par for a teenage midfielder at this stage of a season?
The readiness of some of our fans to stick the boot in to our younger players will never cease to amaze me.

To be fair the problem is the team getting the passes Into the box which they are not achieving
Week in week out the midfield goes missing so the strikers are feeding off scraps. I cannot bear to watch another game punting the high ball it's embarrassing . My opinion on these two as our strike force confirms another day of high balls. The defence seems to be getting off lightly with our recent performances . I've watched it for months now if it's not getting booted high it's getting headed high. Are these players not clever enough to know when they have time to control a ball and take a touch then pass . This is because nobody wants the bloody thing cause they're terrified to make a mistake so punt it right up the park as far as you can make someone else het for it it's like playing tig with a ball total disgrace.
Rant over I'm going for ma Friday pint ????

Buddie cat, I see you're at it again having a go at the fans council talking about things you do not have a clue about. The company that we are dealing with allow you to select the ratio of winners in our case 1 in 25 will be a winner. They then supply these tickets as a fixed number of losing tickets and the correct amount of winning tickets in the values that you requested. On a Thursday night recently members of the Fans Council counted 24 losing tickets and placed 1 winning ticket in each pile, total tickets 15,000. This pile of 25 cards were then mixed up. I'm sorry but if a fans council members buys a ticket he/she like anyone else has got the same 1 in 25 chance as every other fan of winning. We really object to you intimating that everything we do is fixed or for our own benefit. We do this because we think it's what the fans want. If you don't like it have a conversation with us instead of hiding on a forum. You seem to enjoy what we do as you keep appearing at functions! You do not see FC members on the forum slagging of Smisa, maybe you should take a leaf out of our book. I do not intend to get into any argument on this forum and give the above as actual fact!

It very much looks as though this season is a write-off. I never harboured much in the way of optimism as to how it would pan out, but never anticipated that it would be as poor as it has been thus far.
I wouldn't be confident that the BoD would appoint anyone who could do anything other than save us from relegation, but that must surely be the priority now. Murray doesn't appear to have the wherewithal based on his form to date. Given that I was calling for Craig to be bagged this time last year, and Murray's record is equally grim, I have to be balanced and draw a similar conclusion in respect of his tenure.
The club is in serious decline, but it needn't be terminal. Steady the ship and hope for better next year. Character is something that is lacking in football these days, and SMFC is utterly devoid of this attribute just now.
If there isn't change soon, I fear the worst.

The under 20's are doing really well, okay it is against other under 20 teams but still confidence must be high and maybe it's time to get some of these lads in the first team.

Fans Council try to raise money for various things at the club. They have no interest in being shareholders. All money raised goes to the club. SMISA want to buy shares in the club. They also donate a lots things to the club. Both good organisations doing there best for St.Mirren FC.

I quite like his gung ho tackling style. It is his positional sense that concerns me more. Jack is a raw big lad, but I would persevere with him as he is a work in progress, and won't progress without game time.
