Contrary to a few of the previous posts, I'll be disappointed if big Joe was to leave us in this transfer window.  IMO he has been a standout player for us since he signed, with only a few shaky moments this season. He also represents a serious up-front option at dead balls or if we're chasing a game close to full-time. If true, we could live to regret letting him go.

We were excellent the same as we were against Motherwell but we got our rewards today.

Nobody could of complained had that of been 3 or 4 nil.

Dunne was superb, swept up everything and covered for big Joe a couple of times.
Kiktie, baccus and Erhahon were all class, Erhahon is like a man reborn under Robinson.
Big Ayunga was a handful all day, wins headers constantly and his link up play is excellent, he deserved a goal.
    A brilliant 3 points.

Just get Baccus signed up on a very, very long-term contract. He looks like an amazing prospect for us. Great skills, terrific engine, fabulous attitude and he is sure to catch the eye of a bigger club before too long. So get him tied down longer term before we lose him for a pittance or a Bosman !!!

Ayunga and Erahon were outstanding today - overall team played well and probably the best we’ve performed under Robbo. Actually think Grieve might be better partner up front for Ayunga. Number of flick ons the big man won today was incredible !

Run of the mill win. Side wasn't anything like it will be for league games. Lots of youth players in each half  . Shaugnessy and Tanser strolled the second half  . Good to see Peter Urminsky getting a chance. Don't think the crowd would be over 400 . A few saints fans there.
Enjoyed the game as I've missed the football. Having a couple of beers before going back to the hotel which regrettably means I'll have to get up during the night. The joys of getting older

Because the agreement Hibs made with us is that we get a 30% sell on of any transfer fee Hibs get for McGinn. We already made significant money when he went to Villa and another hefty sum when they went up, so we do get a cut of any clauses as well.
It turns out Hibs negotiated in turn a 15% sell on for any profit made on McGinn which means they are obligated to give us almost a third of their 15% sell on. Hibs chairman confirmed as much at their AGM 2 seasons ago.
In addition to this, there is 5% set aside in every transfer in world football for a solidarity fee to be paid to clubs that train a player up and the cut increases as the player develops.
In our case, we trained John from 13 (when the fees start to kick in) until 20 and are due 3.5% of any future transfer fee involving him. Hibs trained him from 21-23 and so are due 1.5%.
So for example, based on say, a £30m transfer, the money would be broken down as follows:
£30m transfer less £3m Villa paid = £27m profit. Hibs take a 15% cut of that £27m = £4.05m Hibs pass 30% of that to SMFC = £1.21m 5% of the 30m transfer is also set aside = £1.5m Hibs get 1.5% of that 5% = £450k We get 3.5% of the 5% = £1.05m Hibs make £3.3m in sell on and developmental fee St. Mirren make £2.25m in sell on and developmental fee

    Indeed.
We were extremely fortunate to get a new stadium paid for by Tesco. We were in no position to be demanding the "ideal" stadium.
Gordon Scott managed to get the best out of a fixed budget set by Tesco and we managed to get  many "extras" added onto the basic plans that were first presented.

If I was a dons fan I would be worried he was hovering around them. They will expect with their fan base and cash to aim higher than them.

Is the only way you can get a ticket for this game from the St Mirren ticket office?

Not sure if I could go tonight but would only know a couple of hours before kick off and it looks like Dundee aren't selling away tickets right up to kick off. 🤷‍♂️

Surprised if we signed anyone now. It was 3-4 weeks so he should be back for the end of the month, and Greive has shown himself to be an able replacement.

Get this Griffiths chat so far to f**k.
You can chat about how he's out of form, needing minutes in his legs, a chance to find form under a bit of good man management.
But regardless of any of this, he's a questionable character to say the least and shouldn't be our burden
