  1. Changing font size and colour should be taken off the main contributors to this thread.
  2. Has Baird ever played right back? Vague memory of him playing there in a home game, think it was under Rae or Murray. May have been hooked before half time?
  3. I couldn’t care less about his previous clubs and supported him at Scotland games. a fit Alan Hutton playing for Saints? Fantastic! Likelihood? f**king nae chance.
  4. Comparing a PE teacher to someone who’s earned thousands per week for a number of years is quite a leap. not sure why you are staunchly defending the idea of him coming 😂
  5. Answers 2 & 3. However, considering he thought Middlesbrough was too far, I’d say answer 2 is the right one. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/alan-hutton-reveals-reason-behind-16985183
  6. At 18, I’d still class him as a youngster. Could do with a loan spell and to play in his most natural position. Don’t agree with him being hung out to dry, playing 25 games at the top level in Scotland will have given him great experience.
  7. It should be in the most recent issue of ‘Nutmeg’ so doubt you’ll find it online.
  8. Don’t think you can recall out of the window periods. Hence, our only options are McGinn, a youth team player or finding someone who’s out of contract.
  9. Suppose that’s what Goody was to weigh up. Someone with no match fitness or knowledge of the team and has been a free agent, or play Paul McGinn... Pretty sure he’ll go with McGinn.
  10. But they’ve got to be someone who’s been a free agent since the close of the last window...I think? So a team can’t free a player today and then they go sign for another club, they need to wait until the next window. Big gamble to bring in someone who’s not been training or playing with anyone since, at least, late August.
  11. Didn’t think emergency loans existed...
  12. Teams have figured out how we play and Jim isn’t adjusting to that. The last four games have seen teams target our left back area with high or diagonal balls with Waters being so small.
  13. Just read that post back to yourself and ask again "was that good planning?" As I said, it’s the nature of the beast for a club our size. Loans, one year contracts, etc...pretty standard.
  14. That’s pretty desperate. of course we are always planning ahead, it’s the nature of where clubs our size are. For example, we have three centre backs at the club at present; one is 35, the other 34 and the third on loan until Jan. I’d fully expect the club to be working up a list of options for Jan or the summer, scouting them, etc.
  15. 😂 trying to stay vague, trying to stay relevant.
  16. Personally, I think Obika is better than Jackson. He did a turn for us, but would want to see us bringing in better.
  17. If gstretch could post a magical link to the Aberdeen game, it would be greatly appreciated.
  18. Aye we can all see that, but he is a paid employee. Directors don't get a salary for being Directors He’s chief exec, so will be classed as an executive director. They then call out his entire salary.
  19. Why would a club employee's wages be listed as Director Expenses? That may constitute an element of false accounting? As he’s listed on the front pages as a Director.
  20. Got to give him credit. He’s been caught out an absolutely blinder and he’s sticking to the story.
  21. See link I added. On our website, we said that there would be no St Mirren tv last night. so, you either watched it on another tv station (that doesn’t exist) or you’re talking absolute shite and were at the game.
  22. https://www.stmirren.com/fans-news/3282-st-mirren-tv-saints-vs-hibees-26th-nov You went to the game, didn’t you?
  23. Tremendous insight, two weeks after Goodwin stated in an interview that we are looking at goalkeepers.
