  1. I didn't (well not that I remember). I don't pay attention to a newspaper that's read by mostly tory voters.
  2. Of course he is. It suits his agenda. His posts are getting more and more like fatty's and the dullard's every day.
  3. All of them did this whilst spending money, it now appears, that they didn't really have.
  4. Unlike us, most teams seem to have the tactics and the strikers to take advantage of shite defending and score more than they concede.
  5. Just watched the highlights there. What a horrible experience. We looked like BB team running about with no purpose and our defending was woeful.
  6. For me it typifies our season, lurching from one piece of incompetence to the next, both on and off the park. The thing is, if DD had been signed at the start of the season and been put through a full pre-season, he probably could have done us a job. However, in his present state he's worse than a man down. Like yourself I'm questioning the wisdom of attending on Saturday. However, as I've got a season ticket, I'll probably be there with my Stranglers induced hangover.
  7. Bateman (as he likes to call himself nowadays) is a great read. His latest, "Fire and Brimstone" is brilliant. Must thank a certain bespectacled saints supporting librarian for recommending his books to me several years ago. http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/b/colin-bateman/
  8. Now, before anyone with an agenda tries to second guess my emotions, I'm neither happy nor unhappy about this article. I'm merely pointing out that Mr.Barroso's views on the EU are not actually what will definitely happen and that alternative views from other individuals in similar positions of authority, who don't have a sizeable part of their country wanting to secede from their governance, do exist. So while it appears that an entry to the EU could be difficult and involve negotiations, it is certainly not "impossible".
  9. No. However you might expect our national TV stations to be a bit more balanced in relation to their reporting of the subject.
  10. http://www.opendemocracy.net/ourkingdom/john-robertson/bbc-bias-and-scots-referendum-new-report Good to see BBC Scotland and STV are unbiased concerning the independence debate.......................
  11. Surprise! Surprise! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-26278237
  12. I thought it was New York he lived in. He's so keen on the union he's f**ked off to live elsewhere...................
  13. It was the one in the second half that I was watching closely.
  14. The jet stream apparently. Although whether human activities have been significant in influencing the change, is a matter for debate. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-26214377 As bad as it has been for Southern England, we've actually fared not too badly, in comparison. We've not really had snow nor exceptionally cold temperatures at low levels either. So, from a selfish point of view, Scotland could probably live with this weather pattern.
  15. I was watching Rooney doing that too. However, as soon as the kick was taken he moved back onside, just. A fine line between him being off or on, and a useful tactic, given the incompetence of the refereeing "team".
  16. Thought Goodwin and Macgregor looked better than usual and kept Rooney fairly quiet. Magennis in for McGowan and Teale in for Wylde will do for me. Hopefully another week will have improved DD's sharpness, although I'm not holding my breath.
  17. Indeed. I commented on that too. Goodwin would have been spoken to after 2 fouls and booked after 3. Murray is a shit referee and generally doesn't give us anything.
  18. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26095136 From the picture in the report it would seem he was out jumped and outmuscled by Sutton for the third goal. Edited to add - Sunday Mail picture shows McManus doing exactly the same thing for 'Well's fourth. Agent Mair, we salute you!.
  19. I think we need Thommo and Teale concentrating solely on playing to get us out of trouble, so not a management option for me. If we are going to get rid of DL, then maybe an experienced manager until the end of the season is the answer. I have no idea who that would be, but then again I don't appoint St.Mirren managers. In the long term I'd go for Murray at Dumbarton. He seems to know what he's doing and would be within our budget.
  20. Bahoken came out of the main stand doors as we were passing after the game. The guy behind us asked how his leg was and he replied that he was nearly fit or words to that effect.
  21. I should have used the term "dullard" instead of "tit". That would have made it more obvious and ruled Bluto out of the running.
  22. Good to see the No campaign continuing to do the yes campaign's work for them. They really don't learn. They only thing that could have made their situation any worse was to appoint fat boy and the other over confident tit as their campaign managers.
  23. It is indeed. You'll need to read my post more carefully.
