  1. As one who witnesses the fruits of these parents "labours" every day, I concur. I would stress however that a lot of parents do a magnificent job in bringing up their kids, often under very difficult circumstances. They are to be applauded. Sadly, this category of parent appears to be on the wane.
  2. I tend to drink half pints in a pint glass, as they always give you more than a half pint. It also allows you to taste more different types of beer. The beer I was drinking was £1.30/£1.40 a half pint. A pint was double that.
  3. There were only two I asked for that weren't available. I managed to cope admirably with the alternatives. Always good to try new beers. Although one of the guys I was with tried the beetroot and black pepper beer. He got what he deserved. It was pink and strangely enough smelled of a jar of beetroot........................... Managed a 4.30 to 10.30ish session without too much damage, although anyone sitting next to me today had better have a strong constitution.
  4. The Lanarkshire version of Walter Mitty, with anger management issues, lives and breathes.....................
  5. If you don't know the answer to your question, then you're more intellectually challenged than your previous posts suggest.
  6. "Overall, 15,200 fewer people are claiming unemployment benefit compared to one year ago." An intelligent person would look at the trend over a sustained period of time. An ignorant dullard however...........................
  7. The beer list is out! http://www.paisleybeerfestival.org.uk/beerlist.php Let the anticipation begin...................
  8. After a longer wait than usual it's back! Starts next Wednesday 11th through to the Saturday. Will be attending Friday from teatime onwards.................... Look forward to washing down the spicy Bratwurst with plenty of ale.
  9. He's been attempting to manage the team from here for the past few years. SG said he's far from impressed.
  10. John McGlynn? It would hardly be worth paying off Lennon if we're thinking of appointing a new manager of that calibre.
  11. And ah'm no just saying this..............................
  12. At least there's one bit of good news. Let the speculation begin.
  13. It's quite difficult because we've got a lot of good individuals, but rather than gelling when you put them together, they seem to become a disparate lot. I also think we lack balance within the squad. Plus I wouldn't presume to assume that I'm better at picking a team than people who have been involved in football for years and work with the players every day. However, I'll enter the spirit of the moment and have a go anyway. There are also a few young unknowns to factor in to the mix, who I'm presuming are good enough since we've got them on loan for a year. Cornell Caprice Goodwin Free agent signing (If McGregor is done) Grainger Teale Newton McGowan McGinn Thompson Bahoken
  14. He was very solid yesterday and did everything that was asked of him, and more, whilst the keystone cops did their best to expose him to Thistle's attacks just about every time they ventured forward. Anyone who thought he wasn't at least as good as Samson yesterday, if not better, is a deluded buffoon.
  15. Not sure why we're looking at McGeouch. He appears to be a right sided attacking midfielder. Strengthening the left hand side would make more sense.
  16. There's a tweet on Douglas McNeil's twitter account which states that the individual who helped set up Isma's move thinks Bahoken is a better player than Isma. We can only hope he's correct. Edited to add - I must have been hallucinating. I can't find it now. That herbal life is strong gear right enough.
  17. It's not only him that appears to be smoking the stuff............................
  18. I'd happily drive him there.
  19. Don't think you can sign contracted players after Saturday, but free agents are O.K.
  20. Back on topic...................... Apparently Bahoken will sign tomorrow as he is flying in tomorrow morning. *crosses fingers* https://twitter.com/DouglasMcNeil
  21. That's exactly what he did in Dundee. He told me that he can take fans criticising Kenny when he's playing badly, but when personal abuse starts just for the sake of it, from some loud mouthed arsehole (the posters on here of this ilk will recognise themselves from that description), that's when he gets angry.
  22. I give you Chris Smith.................................
  23. I've never heard of a supporters bus with a stand in it. Must be load of shite. Both McLean's father and uncle who go to our games are diehard blue bigot followers and hard as nails too. Last year at the first Dundee away game one supporter mad a ridiculous statement towards McLean, wishing him an injury so that he wouldn't be on the park any more. McLean's father who was sitting in front of him, was so angry he got up and took a time out in order to stop himself lamping the "supporter". His uncle had rather aggressive words with the supporter. So, maybe something did happen.
