Think we need to just stick by both the board, the management team and the players for the time being.
This squad isn't Jack's and after three games, despite the horrendous performance last night, it's harsh to be critical of him in my opinion at this stage.
Similarly the new board have been in place a couple of months. Again it's very harsh, in my opinion, to be critical of any decisions they have made at this point.
We've ten football matches between now and the end of the year, 7 of which are at home. Hopefully we can pick up at least some points in that run and hopefully in January we can terminate some of the loan agreements and Jack can bring some of his own players in to steady the ship and get us the points we need to survive.
The one thing we have in our favour at the moment is time. There is still a huge amount of football to be played and whilst it is all doom and gloom today that can change quickly.
It was only a few weeks back that Morton fans were calling for the head of Jim Duffy!

Nothing like a total overreaction. Clearing out 10 players in January is madness as there is no way we can fill the squad up again in that period.
We need to strengthen midfield and full back, push Mallan forward behind Sutton.
What is for certain is if we send back the loanees Hardie, Shankland et al will no doubt go into other squads and score goals...

From Rae coming in to the end of the season he (Goodwin) started no games and came on as a sub in 6. Our midfield in the latter part of the season wasn't as bad as this season. The issue isn't Jim Goodwin, it's the players in there now are not performing.

The midfield will probably be fine if we stopped the rubbish "hooooooooooooof" tactics, as it is not the teams strength at all. Baffling that he hasn't found this out after 4 league cup games and now 2 league matches.
I don't know what to think of Rae but I don't think the board will act so soon. This is however an abjectly poor start. The Hamilton defeat, the inability to score a goal in 50 minutes against a Edinburgh City who had just entering the league, pumped against Raith and second best v Morton.

There are few words that can express just how poor that was. I mean our players at one point couldn't control a ball.
We have a team in there, but it is being hamstrung by negative tactics (full backs staying back) and utter pish long balls to the other team!
When we went 3-4-3 and stopped the aimless punts for possession and balls into channels for runners we look a team, the midfield started to perform and I would think we had the beating of Raith then but too little too late.
Also ref is a grade 1 fud, 2 penalties that looked clear as day.

Top Gear was getting stale at the end anyway and started to look too scripted.
Chris Evans needs to wind it in, but the Clarkson reboot of Top Gear in 2002 had one series where they thought of firing Hammond and let go Jason Dawe.
If it is tweaked and settles down to a few million viewers BBC can say it was job done.

Glasgow out. Too many mistakes and injuries.
Still did well to get there from where they were at Christmas.
Scotland 7s had a fantastic result winning the England 7s after 2 tries in the last 30 seconds. Superb.

God help St Mirren Football Club, Gordon & Smisa if the above is representative of our Support.
What a horrible and disgusting mentality.
Decent Saints fans would be heartbroken and horrified if they missed out on our players doing a lap of honour with the Trophy in 1987 and 2013.
Absolute tragedy yesterday for respectable Hibernian fans.
Thankfully we didn't invae the pitch at Hampden.
Although Trumpets on here would revel in it.

Defensively we were awful (Keith Watson) apart. Can't remember as poor a defensive performance in a long time. I don't think Irvine looks comfortable at LB. Baird and Webster seemed to meet 20 minutes before kickoff. Miles apart from the team that kept Rangers and Falkirk largely at bay. Couldn't cope with hoofs up the park from Raith.
I think Raith had about 5 or 6 chances in the whole game and scored 4. Some of the goals came from Raith defenders clearing as opposed to actually trying to pick a pass!
Offensively we were actually OK, although we hoof it too much when we look a decent enough team now with ball to feet and Clarkson scored a good goal, although Raith Rovers defending was criminal. The last 35 minutes was some good stuff from us really, link up play was good and we had Raith on the ropes but we left ourselves with a mountain.
I don't subscribe to the 'runs about therefore is good' but Shankland needs to do more. Doesn't press enough and rarely wins a header. Also seems to often cynically foul his marker. He was poor today.
Mallan didn't have his best game but couldn't single him out really. Agnew has been a bit out of depth this season but again he wasn't bad today. Gallacher seems to be struggling and I don't think right mid suits him. We need to find a player for that position really.
Think we were worthy of a point but with a defence should have got 3. Sore one to lose and with Livi winning we need to look over our shoulder. 1 point from 9 is actually poor given the way we played!

It wasn't a 1-4 game it was a 1-6 or 1-7. Hibs cruised the second half and could have and should have scored more. Feruz missed a sitter, McGinn hit the bar and Langfield kept he score down with some cracking saves.
As for the ref we could have had the best refereeing team in the world in the game and we'd still lose.
We lost because Hibs are a better side, we pick the wrong team and the re is no consistency to send selection bar Thommo who starts despite Shankland and Gallacher doing more in 5 mins than him all game.

I know where you're coming from as I've not been to any away games this season despite looking forward to this year and the different places.
Been able to spend weekends in the pub watching the rugby world cup and generally doing other things rather than wasting £30 going to watch Saints.
Going to the rugby tomorrow. Looking forward to that a hell of a lot more than the trudge along Greenhill Road to see us struggle against part time diddies, which coincidentally might well be us next season!

Well that was pretty shit. How can we start so good last week but today we start like we are playing for a draw? Possession football with no decent forward pass and no midfield (besides Goody). No shots on target. no closing down and no bravery in the first half and 2-0 down.
Young Morgan did more in the last 15 mins than most of the others in midfield did the entire game.
When Thommo plays we have one tactic only and that is a high ball to him. And today the high balls were mostly overhit or Thommo was fouling their centre-backs. No Plan B.
For next week I would drop Howieson and Agnew, Move Mallan back into centre midfield where he can contribute better and have Morgan wide left. I'd also play Shankland from the start as there was far more movement when he came on.
But that is my last away game of the season and its only October. Dire stuff today but it wasn't all bad. Took a wee photie at the Kelpies - a better way of spending every second Saturday.

Granted it will never get everything perfect, it runs a common base timing with all the lights (I'd guess a 90 seconds or 120 second cycle), so there are occasions where the system will be running to maximise capacity rather than delay and considering more important junctions. Therefore anomalies happen for a number of reasons and it can break the flow.
If you are around late at night, when there is less traffic and it is less worried about capacity you can see it is far more responsive at some junctions- for example coming in from the racecourse it won't call the racecourse road if there is no traffic there etc and it tries to move things quickly.
The idea that signals are set up deliberately to make traffic bad, is largely bollocks. Most of the problems stem from lack of funding to maintain infrastructure. To be honest there is evidence that roads should be more regionally based rather than council run, as smaller councils lack the expertise/staff.
