Maybe what will happen is Jack Ross will take us down without a whimper, actually extending the gap between us and safety in his tenure. Then have us 3rd in league 1 in October next year. Then a bigger club will come in and appoint him.

Sounds mad doesn't it? Yeah it is. But that's exactly what happened when we took him from Alloa.

Normally I am in favour of backing the manager, and I would love to see Jack Ross turn things around. That said, I don't think his 0% record in the league could realistically continue until the end of December. He has had a better squad to work with than Alex Rae had this season (Quinn, MacKenzie, Gordon and McAllister have all been fit enough to play league games for Ross) and is doing a lot worse results wise than Rae with a bigger squad to choose from.

My opinion with TC, IM and AR was that all three should be given till December and I'd have been happy to see GT be given that option also at the send of 2014/15.
AR was sacked too early and I predicted that JR would end up tainted if he was unable to lift us out of relegation trouble. Even so if we get relegated and I reckon that's the most likely outcome this season I'd give the current management team till next December.

You see relegation as a sign of progress & success ?

The Ross record is worse than many other previous managers , it's not working out ( yet ? )

Still , how many more defeats is okay & reason to keep going ?

How did Jack Ross do in the January window last season, when he was sitting bottom of the league and with no money to spend? That's what he will be working with again this season, and should we go down at the end of the season he'll have huge budget cuts to contend with again.

Most importantly, get the Home Kit and maybe the Away one in the Shops ( Saints Shop also ) in time for April 2017 , just as the decent weather starts to kick in.

We had some spare money but chose to invest it on a disabled access area. That is highly laudable....but they'll be watching planes in 2 years time. Keep the money on the pitch. The team are just the hapless product of idiocy not seen since Steven Hawking went out for a spin in a lightning storm wrapped in bacofoil. 

Alex Rae might say he sent Gordon out on loan to free up some money to bring in a midfielder and was sacked after completing the first half of that plan... and with having McManus as interim manager and Ross coming in and assessing the squad we have gone through 5 more league games with interim / new management teams after Rae was sacked where the new guys in charge will feel they have to give everyone a chance (or be seen to) before getting rid of players and bringing new ones in.
However bad we were in the first 6 league games I don't think that if Rae was still in charge we would only have taken 1 point from the last 5 games.

Talking in the pub tonight, the strange topic of Jamie Fullarton came up. I regard this individual as basic pondlife. A total non-footballer, perfect for modern coaching manuals, all "big lungs", fierce tackles (usually badly executed), and hee-haw skill on the ball. There is no point in a "ball winner" if he doesn't know what to do with the thing.
He left Saints under a dark cloud: we were skint (what's new) and could've done with the dough from potential buyers Crystal Palace. Jamie and his advisors had "other plans", and exploting mid-90s EU laws, he went to Bastia for £0. Amazingly enough he turned up at Palace 12 months later for £0.
He then turned up in Bolton, where an increasingly insane Colin Todd played him as a left winger, with the results that any Saints fan could have predicted. He was "moved on" soon afterwards (as was Todd), only to resurface (like most pondlife) at Tannadice. Last time I saw him was when Doctors had contemplated amputaing his foot after a horror injury for the Arabs. To be honest, I don't think his playing style would have been affected. Anyone know what happened next ?
PS Seeing Stuart Taylor made Hamilton Accies Asst. Manager recently made me fell very, very old.
