I have come to a decision that I never thought I would today. After leaving the ground watching the players fold again I will not be going to anymore away games until they at least start showing some fight.
TC is infuriating. 2 weeks ago we got beat by Inverness he blamed the attackers, last week we drew with Ross County and he blamed the defenders and now this week it's the attackers again. TC needs to take a long hard look at himself for his performance so far and his signings in the summer. The BOD need to take a look at themselves as well after appointing him in the summer.
I'm not going to single players out for today or the rest of the season the fault lies firmly at the managers and BOD feet for this season.

99/00 season was the best ive ever seen as a saints supporter (being 29 years old) the football we played, amounts of goals scored and entertaining games involved in will take some beating, for that alone Tom Hendrie is a st mirren legend to me.
as for the follwoing season? 00/01 we were a victim of being a properly run club, teams like killie, motherwell, dundee, dundee utd etc etc were spending millions they didnt have on players.
After that season i think his stubborness took over, and things just didnt work out

I'm delighted we're bringing on the youth. But the under 20s finished 3rd of bottom last season. Partly that was due to playing too many home games at hamiltons artificial pitch, and a lot of the games were lost because they were a young team that tended to get out muscled.
My point is you can't expect kids to come in an play constantly well for a whole season. If we do go down the youth road, we need to expect these kids to have dips in form. I just hope that either we have cover to let them rest and get games in the U20s (see Gauld and Soutar) or the support does not get on these kids backs.
For example, Mo was getting pelters from some on here after the Morton game inspite of setting of the move that resulted in the goal.

Completely agree. Lots of good attributes to be used - pace, power, height. He's not a great player, but has it in him to be a good player. Interested to see who we bring in that's a better bet.

Thompson is in double figures for the season which considering the woefully shite service the strikers get is a decent return. He would be playing better if the wee idiot in charge had signed someone to take the burden.

Who remembers the game we played in worse conditions at McDiarmid Park, when a St.Johnstone player landed face first in a big puddle of standing water, then actually started doing the breast stroke!
It should have been abandoned that day, but the ref just got on with it because it was the same for both sides, and it would have been unfair on the home side, who had built a commanding lead......

95% of the pitch was fine, he was searching for waterlogged parts. I've seen us play at Motherwell where 95% of the pitch was goosed and didn't have a blade of grass.

I've said it before, if it's true about players downing tools and taking the huff then that id an absolutely stinking attitude.
I was shot down last week for suggesting Thompson spending some time on the bench....he has done virtually nothing since March 17th.

Aye and currently not scoring there either.

This has all stemmed from releasing players and not bringing in suitable cover. We lost 3 strikers at the end of last season, and haven't replaced any of them. Reilly is talented, but we can't rely on someone so inexperienced. Thompson looks lost, and we can't expect him to play 90 minutes every week - he doesn't have that in him.
We look weak down the left side of midfield - McGinn - another talented player - is never a left mid in a million years. Maybe McLean will be a better fit left side, but still, it's a gamble.
Vanzy is slower than a week in jail, and needs to be replaced.
And we need someone to command the back four - not Goodwin - we're missing his grit in the middle now that Newton has moved on. Mystified why McGregor didn't start.
Having two inexperienced GK's isn't helping problems either tbh.
What really worries me though is that Lennon had the whole of preseason to sort this out, and he didn't - and now we are all expecting him to sort it out within 2 weeks? Bit ambitious tbh!
