New breaking story from Alex Thomson Ch 4 , he says Sevco will rent all the assets of the club to a Canadian Group for 3 million a year. They are the former failed owners of the Toronto Maple Leafs !

That's right , "the club will be sold one way or another by the start of the season" !

Sale of club postponed ? But I thought there was an announcement by the consortium saying that "one way or another the club will be in new hands by August " ? Or was that more scaremongering or fibs or just nonsense , to get us to part with the dough ?

If there's a members vote amongst SFL clubs they won't get in above the 3rd !

If you mean under suspension or opting out altogether, then they will never come back IMO. How could a business that size survive for a year by standing still ?Impossible !

I'm sure I read they would need 22 votes out of 29 if TRFC dropping to the 1st was put to the SFL members. No chance of being voted down one division if that's the case. The 3rd and 2nd division clubs will want their share of the financial cake , and the 1st division clubs know that they'll be in their division sooner or later anyway !

They'll play at best a couple of games in Europe against clubs that nobody's heard of ! Money spinner ? Doubt it ! It'll probably cost them money ! Their wage bill is comparable with ours ! On what basis will they do better in the cups ? we put them out a cup last season ffs !

That's what puzzles me too. Last week it was full steam ahead " sign up and the consortium will sell" with no reference to the ongoing RFC situation , then , suddenly , the whole deal depends on the fall-out after July4 . If I had known going into this that it's chances of success were up in the air until the RFC problem was addressed to our satisfaction , then I wouldn't have signed up !

Yet other similar clubs voting no to a newco and still investing in the playing side! Think we have a severe case of financial self preservation amongst the current BOD ! We seem to be the only prophets of doom in the SPL and I'm not liking it !

What I don't get ! Our BOD and 10000 hours being ultra cautious as to the outcome of the RFC fiasco , yet a comparible club , like the Fakes , coming out publicly this morning and saying no to a newco yet they're close to making "several" new signings. It is fairly obvious that there will be no RFC in the SPL next season , so where does this situation leave us as a club , because if there's no more investment in the playing side we are in big trouble ?

When you consider that the target has been surpassed by such a large amount , it is disappointing that it's not been concluded. Not a good sign I would have thought !

Beginning to think Bluto was right , this things too big , TRFC are finito !

Miller was mentioned on here weeks ago as a possible target ! I believe there is some truth in the story that we're interested !

After much soul searching and deliberating , and some friendly bullying from associates , I have bit the bullet and signed up !

It's been a botched attempt all the way along IMO ! Begs the question , if 10000 hours can't get this right , are they worthy of running the club anyway?

SMISA have made some very valid points , some I agree with some I don't , but they have helped me make my mind up , I won't be signing up to the CIC. There are just too many things which don't add up IMO. REA , to me , just seems to be the wrong type of person to convince me and others that he is the real deal , one things for sure , he's not a football man !

I'm not wearing it , sorry ! Affecting their health? Who are the "fit and proper" prospective buyers ?

Am I the only one on here wanting to know who else wants to buy the club ? Tell us who it is , and about their background , then I'll decide whether it's the CIC for me or otherwise !

I want to know who the "fit and proper" guys are that want to buy the club! Are they not allowed to make themselves known to the public yet?

If there are two "fit and proper" buyers out there , what's the panic about the CIC ?

I'm not convinced either , and neither are some who I spoke to tonight most of whom I thought were certs to sign up. We'll see what the Herald says tomorrow , maybe Johnny Foreigner is the answer after all !
