That game !! I was in the Tudor lounge having lunch with my heavily pregnant wife. I wasn't planning on going to the game. Toshie was doing his rounds in the pub and asked why I wasn't going , I told him the situ re my missus and he said there were two spare seats , and he wouldn't charge for her. So we went , and when that late winner went in I got caught up in the celebrations , only to glimpse the good lady flat on her back on the terrace , but she was ok , and we won and just about guaranteed our survival ! 😇

Two current directors of our club are not St Mirren fans. Gillespie supports Rangers. McMillan supports Celtic.

What's that got to do with anything , that kind of scenario happens the world over ? That kind of attitude is why Todd and Corson were too small-time for Fergie  , and the "we are all St Mirren supporters on the BOD" days are gone at most clubs forever. It was Gillespie who negotiated the deal to bring in SR , do you think it even crossed Robinson's mind that Gillespie didn't support the club growing up ? It's such a narrow minded outlook , much the same as Wardrop's , childlike even !

I know its fictional, but if someone was offering to invest millions in the club then it would happen.

It might not be that far off , with Burnley looking for a tie-up with Dundee and the Bournemouth owner now looking to buy Hibs too , and there is allegedly one more club in talks with one from England , the rules are being re-written to accommodate the situation.

  4. I saw a speech from the Jewish , late , Labour MP Gerald Kaufman recently , dating from around 15 years ago. In it , he said that the biggest mistake the Labour Govt of the time had made was to not recognise the democratically elected Hamas in Palestine , he said that whatever "we jews" think about it , Hamas are "the only show in town" as far as the Palestinians are concerned , and recognising Hamas would have given us a much better chance of coming to some sort of agreement !

You could cough this situation under the rug, it’s that trivial.

I don’t understand fans being so raging over a scenario that never happened a year ago. They probably still have a picture of Ian Harte up on the dartboard  😅

Yeah , it's all water under the bridge now. It's not happening , Kibble are part of the club for the foreseeable , and the team are doing well. SR is very vocal about the support he gets from Keith Lasley and Jim Gillespie on the football side of things and long may that continue !

I think the link you have posted is from  the pub reopening as the IOTC……which was a total failure due to fighting in the pub every time a game was on It only lasted about 6 weeks before they realised their mistake

Opened again 3 weeks ago The folk from the Anchor Bar have taken over after leaving the AB due to complaints about noise from the residents of the new flats across the road Imagine buying a flat across from a pub then complaining about the noise!!!! Anyway it’s been mobbed every weekend since it opened so looks like a good decision by them

I knew they had reopened it  , but when I passed yesterday there was one of those "for rent , may sell" signs outside it. Have they just not taken it down , or is it remaining on the market ?
