  1. Really sorry lads, had to drop out this week. My Sunday team have had a League match re-arranged, I thought it was next week, turns out it's wednesday. Sorry again, hopefully there's plenty of time to replace me.
  2. I liked the look of him the few times he played for us, just a shame he was very unlucky with injuries.
  3. Iain Anderson is a taxi driver, regularly picks up a friend of mine, loves a chat about the Saints apparently. Supposed to be a good guy.
  4. He looks a good prospect, I think he was shattered for the last half hour, probably explains his first touch being off once or twice. Forgivable though, he had a great game otherwise.

  6. Can't wait to play tonight, on a mission to make up for my horror miss last week which (very kindly) hasn't been mentioned on here...I'm away to look out my shooting boots!
  7. Good for him...Cameron's a slimey got...makes my skin crawl...
  8. Yeah I use the app. It came up on my phone like a normal notification, I read it, said the dome was closed, didn't give it a second thought...I'll be appealing that yellow card!
  9. Teamer, came up on my iPhone the way the weekly reminders of invites do. It was only when I got the email asking me for my man of the match I realised the game had gone ahead!
  10. Was closer than I thought it would be with only 1 keeper tonight. On a personal note, I was dreadful tonight, by far my worst ever game in the dome, I think I was actually better off doing my sweeper/keeper role late on, cause I couldn't do any damage going forward. I'm not gonna blame the new boots...but it was definitely the new boots
  11. I thought the ball felt a bit flat too, never seemed to be able to strike it cleanly. Good game though, bit gutted to lose out. The game being so close makes the goal that was cut off pretty important. For what it's worth I was quite close and honestly thought it was our ball, didn't even question it until after the ball was in the back of the net.
  12. I'm looking forward to the game. I think there's a few non-bibs from last week, myself included, that owe a performance to whatever team they end up in!
  13. Pretty poor night for the non bibs, I tried my best to make it up and down the park, but ran out of steam a bit towards the end. Fraser's out side of the boot effort has to be the best goal I've seen in any of the Black and White Army games, an absolute screamer. I think there were only really 2 guys in our team who were happy to play a bit deeper, where the bibs had quite a few guys willing to sit at the back when required. Usually it works out a bit more even than that. Maybe we could try and split the more defensive players evenly the way we do with the 'keepers, might make for a more even game?
  14. He'll have verbally agreed to a contract with Rangers ages ago, just couldn't sign until now. They had quite a few players in that position...
  15. The bibs could have probably won if we'd taken our chances, I have to take a fair bit of the blame for that myself, that and some top drawer saves by Tam at key times. Have to say Div, think you're being a bit hard on yourself, a few of us, myself included, made mistakes that led to goals. Not played 7s since July, hopefully be sharper next week!
  16. I agree about Teale on the right. The two guys I would say that have to play are Goodwin and McGowan, if you're right and Newton has a must play clause then there's your central 3, Teale on the right, that leaves Harkins, McGinn and, to a lesser extent, McLean, fighting for a place wide left. It's not ideal to not fit all these guys into the team, but we can only field 11 and we desperately need to strengthen out midfield
  17. I rate Lee Mair highly, always liked him, was pleased when we signed him and have been happy with his performances for the club. He and Goodwin don't seem to play well together for some reason, but that's not a huge problem for me, as I would rather have Goodwin in midfield. Personally I'd have Mair and McGregor as my centre backs with Goodwin providing some much-needed grit in the centre if the park.
  18. I'd be up for a Monday night. Been trying to get a game going with my mates on a Monday, but with people's work and other things it's been difficult to get the numbers.
  19. Would anyone be up for trying to get a game on somewhere else? Even 5s or that? Really fancied a kickabout tomorrow night. There's plenty of 5s parks around and Seedhill, Ralston and the new parks at Johnstone High all take bookings for 7s.
  20. I agree, but I'd rather sign no-one and give the young players a chance than waste the last of our budget on some has-been just for the sake of making a signing...
