Saint Garf got a reaction from Percy Veer in St Mirren Photos & Videos
2 Cracking strips. Away top's brilliant.

Saint Garf got a reaction from belfast billy in Daniel Lennon - St Mirren Legend
Danny deserves it, not only a cup winning manager, but a gent, a guy who was a fantastic ambassador for the club during his time with us. Always represented the club brilliantly in interviews and any public appearances.

Saint Garf got a reaction from St.Ricky in Speculation Thread
The guy I'd like to see come in from Caley would be Liam Polworth. Always been really impressed with him. No idea about his contract situation or if he's attracting interest from elsewhere, but I'd definitely be keen to see him join.

How can thousands stand “safely “ at gigs through the land and have a drink ,yet a couple of hundred footie fans need a special area with special handrails and extra stewards ?

most practical and sensible way to " invest " money in our stadium , would be to explore a way to divide one of the ends into two , so we can accommodate an away crowd of say 2,000 , or be in a position to offer an away support 700 tickets and keep the rest of the stadium for our own fans .

You're wrong there.
Thats a false comparison. People are going to stand regardless. So the real safety comparison is: Do you want people standing at seats or do you want people standing at "safe standing"?
The latter is clearly safer and therefore worth the 50 quid.

Saint Garf got a reaction from jaybee in Darren Jackson Head Coach
On the Subject of Jackson, I'm happy to reserve judgement. It would be harsh to judge a coach on a club's overall performance when the guy at the top wasn't up to much. There would have been no shortage of coaches who'd have been delighted to come in to a newly promoted club with a talented young squad, it's not a hard sell. To me, that means Stubbs would have had plenty of options and decided Jackson's the best man for the job.
Welcome to the Buddies Darren.

Saint Garf got a reaction from Buddie Marvelous in Gavin Reilly
I saw that, still, if he'd been sure he wanted to stay he could have signed the deal as soon as it was offered. Not blaming him for waiting to evaluate his options, just pointing out that the decision to stay with the club has been in his hands for a few weeks now.

Saint Garf got a reaction from spankin_panda in Season 18/19 St Mirren Kit
Home kit looks cheap I think, the combination of the 1 faded stripe and 2 solid ones looks daft, choose one (preferably solid) and stick to it. The red makes it look quite Dunfermliney too. Not into it...
The away kit though...oaft! Class, really like it.

Saint Garf reacted to TPAFKA Jersey 2 in Speculation Thread
Barring a couple of games and one massive goal I actually wasn't that impressed with him and thought he was massively overrated by our fans.
Dummet was always the far better of the two Newcastle lads.

Neilson from the favourites for me, but can't say any of them are hugely exciting. Not Hopkin, don't think it would work.

Saint Garf got a reaction from Magic Monkey in Speculation Thread
Not convinced by O'Ware, but would happily be proved wrong if he signed. Halkett looks a bit better, but he might fancy a crack at the Prem with Livi.
My worries about both are more or less the same, they're both dominant aggressive centre backs which is great, but they've both been fairly limited in sort of football they've been asked to play. Morton play more football than Livingston, but they're still quite direct. I'd worry a bit about them making the step up and adapting their game to a more passing style at the same time, could be a big ask. Suppose it depends how we're going to play next season.

Indeed. In order to offer my thoughts. If I'm not mistaken, that tends to be how it works around here, no?

Saint Garf reacted to Cornwall_Saint in Ipswich Town - Permission to Speak with Jack Ross
Exactly this. No manager is going to refuse talking to an EC club while managing St Mirren. The fact he "goes away for interviews every few months" means we've actually got a good manager in place. As Div said, if we can't handle that then we should just employ shit managers.
