  1. I heard he has an anger management problem
  2. Hi Guys, Sorry this is short notice. Hurt my back at work today lifting some tables. Won't be able to make it. I think teams are still even though as someone else has dropped out. Again really sorry.
  3. Really dont know if thats a troll bait or not. But ill bite. Got a highly experienced left back, only on a one year deal. Doesnt seem to be performing at the level we all know he can. A youth player gets a chance to prove himself and did that. Now suddenly danny should be psychic. We now have 2 decent players at left back, fantastic position to be in.
  4. The fact we have choices at left back now is a blessing. Based on his performance in the dons game, kelly deserves a start. However a grainger fighting for his spot might be the kick up the arse he needs to find his form. I guess its a matter of who impresses in training.
  5. Teale is very good going forward, arguably the best attacking player we have in the squad. But he doesn't track back very well. I believe thats why newton was favoured against an Aberdeen side that was pacey and could hit on the break really well. We really needed a solid defensive performance with so many changes, and I think overall (apart from the sloppy goal) we did that. I do believe we need width in the squad, id like to see us work the other wing then switch it quickly to Teale who can then fire a ball in at the back post because thats where the players are. Unfortunately we seem to slowly put it across the back to go to Teale who eventually makes a run and fires a ball in, but by now everyones drifted towards him and theres no one attacking the back post. Against a young Hearts side I reckon Teale would probably run riot, its just whether he can track back and do a job defensively. I wouldnt mind putting out the same team as last week but bringing Teale on a good 30 minutes before the final whistle, let him run riot at a tired left back.
  6. It was good to be back! That new pitch is cracking by the way, the ball actually goes true now. Which i'm blaming on some of my dodgy passing. Was knackered towards the end, need to get my fitness back up again but all in all I reckon I had a fairly decent game - for my standards anyways.
  7. Hmm i didnt decline but i dont mind sitting out seeing i wad the 17th wheel
  8. That he is! Ill dust off my boots and bring a zimmer just incase! ;)
  9. In comparison to the Partick game where we were a shambles. We had more of a shape about us and kept a decent amount of possession. Still not the standard in which we should have been playing, but a step in the right direction. We really just need forwards who work well together who can get on to the end of all the crosses teale is firing in. Not saying things are rosey, we didnt play well, but it was an improvement over our previous performances.
  10. I saw improvement in the motherwell game, if we can build on that then i see this as a draw or maybe a win.
  11. I thought I had replied to the text message last week, but apparently I hadn't. I was busy that week. Hopefully the lack of reply hasnt shoved me to the bottom again and i have to wait another 6 weeks
  12. The first half of last season Goodwin was playing as a holding midfield player in front of the back 4. It gave our back 4 some protection through the middle and also allowed goodwin to spread the ball really well. I'd like to see him back in this position, but I also think he's play a terrific game at centre back. But something needs to change. I was livid for the first 45 minutes seeing Newton out on the right who constantly drifted more central, possible because Bahoken was meant to play more wide and track back, who knows. But Teale definitely needs to play wide right from the start, alongside Bahoken. Teale is where our chances are more likely to come from, and if you create enough chances for a lad like Bahoken he'll start putting them away (hopefully). I'd start with: Cornel Caprice,Mcausland, mair ,Grainger Goodwin Teale ,Newton, McGowan Bahoken, Thommo Then you have the likes of Harkins, McGinn and McLean to come on from the bench for new legs when our we get tired. We have a strong team and finally a decent bench. Players need to start playing in the roles they were brought in for and play a passing game that was meant to be our "brand" of football. Not everyone out of position and hoofing long balls up to thommo.
  13. If this is a troll it has to be the best one all summer. Praying this is true. I'll wait for the official announcement!
  14. The smiley faces after his comment is a give away that it was tongue in cheek. 1 game in to the season and people are spitting the dummy out the pram. I'm not going to give excuses for the players, managers, or the BoD - I'll wait until we're a few games in to the season and the transfer window has closed and judge then.
  15. If anyone has his phone number drop him a text? Should maybe have added another admin to teamer in the off chance stuff like this happens.
  16. Nice to see me singing at the start. We look a lot better in that video than I remember. It was a nice finish from Harkins, however I was saying a few minutes before that he should come off. Kept trying to do too much and ended up not doing much with the ball. Teale was over hitting most of his crosses and Thommo was non existent - but that may have been because he never got a decent cross in to the box. McGinn was our stand out player though - he can control a cross field pass and beat a player in one swift movement - joy to watch at times. All in all a great day out, locals were really friendly and the night out in Manchester afterwards was an absolute blast.
  17. My backs feeling much better today through painkillers, deep heat and physio exercises so ill at least be able to hobble to manchester on sat! However I will sadly be pulling out of next weeks game. Rather amusing that myself and Richard were the only ones never to have missed a game and we both have to drop out through injury on the same day... its a conspiracy
  18. Phoned the nhs24 and they advised me to head tk the rah, didnt see rich as i was in hr out of hours bit but hope hes ok.. Got some mega strong pain killers, which are lovely, and some anti inflamatories. Should be fine in 2 to 3 days. On the plus side, misses is being ny slave atm Game was a shocker for the bibless. I put my hand up to some bad touches that lost us some goals.
  19. Pretty sure dougiy is an alright keeper although I think hes enjoying his time outfield. Looking forward to tonight and seeing some of the old faces back! Although, my shins have just recovered from big Stuarts tackles!
  20. I'd be interested if it didnt interfere with the wednesday game, as im enjoying that.
  21. Me and my mates are coming from Manchester so will probably stop for one in the Royal Oak on Castle Street on the way.
  22. Me and my mate actually stood and applauded that goal, absolute screamer. The rest of the goals were woeful defending. Keeper was slightly at fault for some, but the defence was all over the place. Hopefully with a bit more time the keeper can command his back line a better. On another note though, fantastic game from Teale. Our man of the match by a mile.
  23. Any of you lot fancy meeting in the same pub for the scotland game? Wouldn't mind grabbing a pint with you lot
