Yeah it didnt look like a penalty that was claimed for, none of us up the other end even shouted for it. And the other one is one of those 50/50 where his arms were at his side, but it clearly struck it. But anyways, who cares Was a really good game again. Once we got those first couple of goals in, everyones tails were up and to score 5 on the trot, what a turn around! I really need to get my dribbling legs on though, tried it once and Craig seems to have spiderman legs and got it off me.. so back to defence I went. Didn't seem to cover the park as much as I normally did, the formation seemed to work tonight and once again the bibless are on top!

You can find it on teamer. I could be wrong but I think this is the standby list in order: Russell, Mark Torrance, Fraser Brown, Ian Cameron, Neil Cameron, Stuart Fleming, Nicky Hanley, Brian McGuinness, James Smith, Robert Logan, Steven Cassidy, Alan Fallows, Grant Gordon, David Newport, Andy Rooney, Sean McIntosh, Stuart McNicol, Ross Bell, Gordon Mullan, Paul Porter, Owen Morrison, Kenny Tennant, David

See now i think we should have a donkey trophey or at least a wooden spoon, for the wally who tries to round a keeper and falls over his own feet or if ur like me, tries to knock himself out by running in to the dome. Glad we have sorted the weekly booking issue and it seems most people are on board with keeping our friendly wed game. Only issue left is the standby list but really having too many for game is a much better position than struggling to find a man. But hopefully we can come to some solution.

Yeah i was bit concerned when filling out that form that a league might be set up and something happens to our Wednesday game. The thing I like most about this is the fact that no one takes it too seriously and just TRY to play some football. It varies in skill level and fitness throughout the group. A league would certainly take away some of the enjoyment factor when people try to compete. Certainly agree that the Standby list is getting too big. Maybe the person wanting the Monday game could create a new one, although i'd hate not to have the chance to play with the guys I played with in the first 6 weeks again, who are now stuck in standby due to various holidays. Any update from Brian re the advanced payments?

Surely its just a case of doing this: If your group is not in a position to meet this for whatever reason then you must call the community department on a weekly basis to make your booking. You may only secure your booking in this instance no earlier than 7 days prior to the desired booking. E.g. Monday 8-9pm Adult 7's...you may call in on the Tuesday morning to secure the booking for the following Monday evening. So its just a case of calling on the thursday morning to confirm for the next week?

I reckon they should have had a goal chopped off seeing as jordan hid behind the goals for one haha. Was a brilliant game tonight. Was 0-0 for at least 20 mins and when we went 3 behind we battled back to make it 3-3. We had everyone up for a corner to try and equalise when it went 4-3 and sadly that led to the last one going in. Ill hold my hand up for not having he best game, couldnt run far in tha heat! Next week the bibless will be back on top. Going to be a tough call for motm this week!

Possible New Ticketing Initiative
LoveStreetLover replied to Drew's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
This really only strikes me as paperless purchase solution. The only real thing the new facility offers is the ability to get the ticket without having to wait for it to be posted out, or to wait in a queue to pick it up from the ticket office. I've never really considered the normal paper tickets to be seat specific unless its a big game where you know the ground will be packed, in which case I will sit on the seat provided. Or if theres a group of us, we will sit somewhere and wait to be asked to be moved etc. Theres no real need to make this new ticket be changed to an any free seat policy. Seats/Stands will be pre-chosen before the match begins. The discount for 3+ games is something that should be brought in irrespective of this new system. Any offer to boost ticket sales in advance should be looked in to. However, how far in advance do we allow this? The club will need to standardise the ticket prices and wouldnt be able to reduce the cost of one game as it would render the discount the punter got 10 weeks ago for buying in bulk. But dont get me wrong im not slating the idea here. I hate having to queue before the games or wait for the tickets to be posted, because my posty can never get in my building. So any way to load matches on to a card before I turn up gets the thumbs up from me. And if you include the purchase of the smart card itself as a membership fee to a supporters bar etc. then it seems a good idea. It might even promp those without a ST or half season ticket to grab one, knowing they already have their card (although i dont know how what would work seeing as the seat itself is printed on the ST card). I cant see this new system taking away any benifits the ST currently get, but I do see it as a way of reducing posted and printing and making purchases a lot easier.. i mean I could do it on my phone in the pub before the game without having to leave 15 minutes early in case theres a queue. -
Yeah having permanent keepers really makes the difference. Tam was solid in goals for you lot. During the period of when we had the extra man, things evened up a bit and we got 2 on the bounce. Could have been 1 or 2 more, but Tam made some quality saves. Then we went back to to 7 men and it was game over! I think having 8 makes a huge difference as well, I was blowing out my arse for most of that game. I gave Gareth the man of the match for our team, seemed to be everywhere at points for us. Most of the new guys had solid performances actually. Bring on next week! Hopefully their aren't any more wholesale changes.

Thoroughly enjoyed that game, was really close throughout. Pulled a muscles 10 mins towards the end, and then got clattered in a few challenges, proper felt that cycle home! Hopefully the injury should clear up in a few days, so ill put myself as available for next week. I'll let you know if it I need to pull out. Should be fine tho

Stockport V St Mirren 27/7/13
LoveStreetLover replied to Liverpool Bud's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
4th match down: http://www.saintmirren.net/pages/?page_id=154 About to book a hotel in Manchester for this, should be a good night! *edit* Asked on their forums for pubs near Stockports ground that were friendly and decent, they said the Royal Oak on Castle Street or The Crown if you like your real ale. -
They are taken out the oven and put straight on display so i presume they can be served anywhere from roastin to frozen. As long as i can get a steak and gravy pie and a bovril in the winter i dont care who serves me it.
