I'm loving the fact that a poster called Billy Mehmet is moaning about a striker not being good enough...
Someone called Miranda will be slagging Sean Kelly off soon.

Elvis, Saints0, Stevie88 and BillyMehmet1 all have a very similar posting style and loose grasp of punctuation. None has a profile pic.
I'm calling it now: one troll, four accounts. Like two girls, one cup, but with far more slavvering of shite involved.

Away and behave yourself with this balanced, sensible shite....
He's a dud. His scoring record is poor. He has a bad attitude. I'm not buying an ST if this is the calibre of signing and lack of ambition we're showing.....
Ad infinitum. Get with the programme Drew.

Talking about his time at St Mirren in The Scottish Sun today.
The guy oozes class and dignity.
He mentions watching the black and white army celebrate after that third goal.

LoveStreetLover reacted to pozbaird in Saints On Sky News
I agree with all the posts above who talk about a balance, and I agree that the squad at the moment is reasonably well balanced - although we are still short of a few, and I hope Goodwin and Teale still have their 'playing heids' screwed on. We'll need both of them as players first and foremost this coming season to add experience to the squad.
We needed a CB, we got Plummer. We needed back up for Thommo, we got Marwood. We needed to sort out the goalies, we did - early too. We got McLean signed up as a nice 'bonus'. McGinn could stay too. So far, TC seems to be doing the right things at the right pace. Two or three new faces to round out the squad and I'll be relaxed about going into a season without Hibs, Hearts, The Sevco, and Dundee and Accies coming up.
Top six is ours, I tell ye!*

LoveStreetLover got a reaction from Stuart Dickson in The Future`s Bright !
It's measured using the SFA's criteria for star ratings set out here:
http://www.stmirren-youthacademy.net/club-academy-scotland-regulations.html
http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/ClubLicensing/Part5:GeneralAppendix2013/A30%20Club%20Academy%20Scotland%20Minimum%20Criteria.pdf
In which only 2 clubs rank higher than st mirren in that rating system, The Rangers and Celtic, with a star rating of 6. St. Mirren having a star rating of 5.

Sorry guys but it looks like I won't be back for a long time as I've done a disc in my back? Maybe see you all again in 2020? The games have been great though I'll miss them big time and please keep me in mind for any social events as they've always been a great laugh? Cheers!

LoveStreetLover reacted to DLBud in Responses To Brian Caldwell Updates
I'm not sure I understand this view to be honest. It's a well documented fact that we have a 70% wages/turnover ratio, not ideal for any business, to try to keep us competitive in this league. We don't have a rich owner like Ross County who is prepared to subsidise signings personally but in recent years we have spent really good money, by our standards, securing players like Thommo, Teale, Kello and McGowan.
Just what is it that you want?
The current BOD want out. It's no secret but their continued stewardship of the club has seen us stay in the league and win a national trophy.
I, like many others I suppose, would like to see a better, more consistent, product on the pitch but that doesn't necessarily mean spunking money we don't have and ending up going down the route of so many clubs before us toward administration.
We're a small club with small crowds. How many times last year did we have only 3,000-3,500 home fans at a game? It's a nonsense to say we're run like a first division club, unless the definition of that is being sensible fiscally.

The youngsters, including myself, skelped the old yins last night. Must have been 5 or 6 in it come the end. Everyone turned in a great shift and ran out comfortable winner's. It was just one of those nights.

Everyone turned up, eventually. A narrow victory for the old boys but the youngsters played well and were ably assisted by two old baldies.
A splendid hat trick inside the first 15 mins or so from love street lover. :-)

LoveStreetLover reacted to zurich_allan in Saints For A Day - Huge Thanks To The Club
Just posted similar on the official forum, but wanted to post here too as I'm sure a few of the staff at the club will read it too. A huge thanks to all involved with organising, coaching, and helping out with the Saints for a day game today. A great experience all round, and brilliant memories with my wee boy there to see us play. Again - thanks to everyone involved.
