I can't say I'm surprised to see Stephen Mallan getting dogs abuse from sections of our support.

Kenny McLean got it continually right up until his last season when he flourished playing in a more advanced role, and John McGinn got it during his last season too. Wasn't even trying according to some!

Our support can be absolutely incredible at times, in a good way, but it can also be unbelievably destructive at times too.

The truth is that young players make mistakes. That's part and parcel of the learning curve in the game. It's also fair to say that young players thrive on confidence but that confidence is very fragile. It's up to ALL of us to cajole and encourage the team as much as we can, both at the games and outside of matchday.

If you are a young player then you're going to be on social media, you're going to read forums.

It can't be particularly encouraging to read some of the pish that gets posted at times.

Wldnt u be frustrated if your kid didn't get the promotion in there work or missed out on an opportunity to do better in life, your right to mention it's upsetting,as for the PDE comment,no he didn't speak to Barnsley or sit with bags packed, because nothing was finalised, yes there was an agreement but that changed at the last minute to stop it,nothing to do with Barnsley going cold,or stephen personal terms, didn't even get that far, that's bullshit,so there's the truth,

i do read what the fans say about my kid and yes it's hard to take at times but that's the life my whole family choose, from my grandfather who played here to now also my grandson,it's true your only as good as your last game, fans can say what they like but when it's a member of ur family that's being abused or slaughtered, regardless the industry it's still hard to take.

contrary to what people think, stephen will come good again, the prospect of playing with better educated members of his team will breed through the team as was showing against Dundee,I do believe we won't go down I do believe with the player new in will gel,I also think the weeman will learn a lot of Stephen McGinn, wether as some say heart or dig or whatever, one thing for sure is he's still learning.

oh and for the people that don't rate the weeman that's fine cos he has been shite more times this season than last but when he's good he's good that side of him you never see but that's your choice.

believe me no one gets on his case more than me,yeah I have the same thoughts long passes to many times, floated corners, shit one twos,I do eat and sleep football believe me.

i know I'm setting myself up for a fall but I tired of some of the shit people write about him, just (yeah) but it's still a team EVERYONE has a part to play, that's why it's a team.

    Bloody grumpier than me.

    Sin Bin for you.

    I'm sure it's not.

the only frustration is that there has been zero improvement. Today, we played like a team that didn't know each other. Defensively we were appalling, no buddy plays (shite American term!) and it looked like we didn't know how to defend a corner. 4 out of 6 defenders that played today weren't here in December.

the other issues was that, despite a good turnout, the fans hand no real rapport with the team. This wasn't a fans &a team gamlvanised performance like Falkirk all those years ago.

i only hope we treat the two cup games as friendly games. Ross has to field his best 11 in both games, the team that will see us through to the end of the season barring injuries. f**k rotation etc. This is it.

If we are going to treat the cup ties as friendlies, I hope all Saints fans are given free admission.

If we lose next week at Bayview, I expect Ross to be sacked before the Team Bus arrives back in Paisley.

Maybe , better booting him out now and getting wee Gus in to save the day.

WE ARE IN A HELLISH STATE

Fcuk me. Ignore list just jumped to 15. Still, Shull, The Shull, The The Shull, whoever else he posts under was moaning that some on here didn't know how to use the ignore function. However, I do. So while your contributions 'supras' are absolutely wonderful and insightful, sorry, I'm out. Good luck with your twenty-third and twenty-fourth posts, sure they'll be fcuking belters.

    Bye bye huffy :snore

WTF. Has Faraway changed his username?

You made a cnut of it. Even funnier than you're shite joke Thread.

You are obsessed and jealous of somebody you say you have on ignore.

    Trying to be a smartass.

It's fannies like you, Pozzy and FTOF that the Sin Bin was introduced.

Should a sin bin post add to your overall count? I believe, if it is possible, they should be discounted.

I think if this was stopped some, (no names), might be more responsive to the rules of the REAL forum.

Must be the most stupidest post ever made by a complete thicko.

Go and check the Sin Bin and see what username the guy you love to hate is using?

Hardly post building if the original name has been retired.

What a fanny you are.

It may be much harder than you think to get out of this mess. People think 3 points tomorrow will be a great thing and certainly it will be a start but do you realise if St Mirren were to draw every game remaining they would be down !!  If they win a third of games remaining they will still be down !! People are only seeing the 7 points gap but Ayr will be gaining a few more points still. Usually around 26 points takes you down each year. At the moment we have ELEVEN. But for me the worst thing is that soon we don't have hardly any league games for a while with cancellations and New Saints and other cup games. So Ayr can really open up a big gap. Then we will have maybe too many games too close. I honestly believe that the owners would be happy with us in Div One. Think about it. We will have half a million in the bank. Still have the subscription money and have a slashed wage bill as we most likely will be part time. And the "faithful" 2500 will still turn up. It's only a suggestion but it actually makes more sense economically to go down. We need to face facts.

No, we must stay up and aim for promotion to the Premiership next season.

Going down could mean this time next year us heading for League 2.

And the Lowland League is not far away after that.

  9. Absolutely huge, similar to the Shug Murray match at Forthbank in the 90's.

    It is make or break.

If our fans can make a difference, then this game is perfect for the Club to help transport the supporters down there.

Finance given to the 4 official Buses plus a fleet of subsidizes Buses leaving from Greenhill Road.

Also, get the Match Tickets out now and demand the fans get to the Match.

3000 is the away limit, we can fill it.

We need a large and wild support which we had down there in the magical promotion game in April 2000.

Where is Paul McKnight when we need him ?
