  1. At least one "How pleased were you...." question features in every interview. If Stubbs could just hold up a scale of pleasure and point to the appropriate place it would make these interviews easier.
  2. They appear to have provided one wheelie bin per spectator, which is surely overkill?
  3. There were actually a couple of decent results for us tonight for anyone still hankering after a place in the next round. It's extremely unlikely that goal difference will matter now unless we really went goal crazy. We need at least two of these four group outcomes to happen: Group C: Hearts fail to beat ICT in 90 mins. Group D: Dundee fail to beat Brechin in 90 mins. Group F: Airdrie fail to win at Hamilton in 90 mins or Livingston lose at home to Berwick or Livingston get 1 point and we win by 3 goals. Group G: Motherwell take no more than 1 point at Clyde.
  4. Be concerned about signings, tactics etc, but I wouldn't put too much emphasis on anything that could be attributed to Stubbs' personality type. There's more than one way to reach the same outcome and being a cheerleader with a magnetic personality hasn't been necessary for every successful manager.
  5. Presuming Killie won't shit the bed, and that Groups E and G are highly likely to provide best runners up. We need snookers in every other group. There are other possibilities, but we are in the realms of needing 4 of the following 5 things to happen (along with a win for us). Airdrie fail to win at Hamilton. Montrose fail to win at Forfar. Ross County win at Alloa. Hearts fail to beat ICT. Dundee fail to take max points from their last two games.
  6. Seagulls can't boo, so it might have taken to hurling multiple dead animals onto the park to express its disgust. At least it never paid £14 to get in as well.
  7. The pigeon probably topped itself rather than watch any more of that pish. Did it leave a note?
  8. As grim as Tuesday was, two wins will definitely take us through no matter what happens anywhere else. It's highly unlikely we'd be seeded, but the seeded teams are probably going to include the likes of Dunfermline, Livingston and Partick Thistle, so not a terrifying prospect.
  9. Quite. And throw in Kenny McLean too. http://www.stmirrenprogrammes.co.uk/StMirren/STM_Match_Details.php?Season=2014&GameID=201412270
  10. I'm in the back header camp too. Down at the home end.
  11. Was I seeing things or did Myles Hippolyte turn up in M9 in the second half? I once did an impromptu shite in the stream that runs through North Glen Sannox. Full details in the Pie and Bovril Gold 'Shitting Stories' thread.
  12. Stubby did say we've been concentrating on sorting the defence up till now.
  13. I had as good a view as anyone in the world of that Jack Baird incident. Total overreaction from their No7. No need for it at all. Looked like Big Time Charlie stuff from him, which would be more credible if I knew who the f**k the League One nonentity is. Little prick.
  14. I know. The first thing I said is that I can overlook a shite performance in the circumstances, and I've seen loads that could rival last night's. If we do go through, which isn't certain at all, I'd just rather meet another team that we should be beating, rather than one that should be beating us.
  15. Yes, that's right. I'd prefer to play one the 35 teams who finished below Kilmarnock in the league last season because they are all likely to be not as good as them.
  16. I can overlook a shocker under the circumstances, but the above is the annoying part. Winning the remaining three games after Killie gave us an outstanding chance of a favourable draw in the last 16. If we strengthen an gel as we hope , who knows where that could lead. Now the chances are that we'll be playing someone from the top 6 if we get through.
  17. I wonder if he'll shuffle the pack a bit to spread the game time around. I'd like to see 90 minutes from Heaton, for example, who seems to be rated.
  18. Brings back memories of the Euro 96 semi-final when, just when you thought it couldn't get any funnier, the camera panned into the crowd and....
  19. They were definitely being far too smug with such a narrow lead, with a long time to go, against a known good team who were yet to have a spell in the game. If playing well for the first half hour guaranteed you a win, Hearts would have won the League Cup in 2013. "Look at the two centres halves, knocking it around. Teams used to do this to us." Five minutes later it's Keystone Cops at the back with Croatia nearly scoring off the back of the swaggering defending.

  21. FFS, I've just turned up! Spot the looney. I thought parking looked a bit too easy.
