From there, the ref failed to properly action the foul on Flynn (only booking the guy once it was apparent he'd actually done Flynn and ended his match
Furthermore, if the same player had been booked for deliberately catching the ball, with two hands, earlier in the game, the yellow for the Flynn tackle would have seen him off.

His challenge was needless and due to his poor control in the first place
Just as well the penalty was just as badHe lost it well before that. Refusing to give a free kick when the keeper goes outside the box with the ball in his hands is utter incompetence.
Miller deliberately catching the ball in two hands whilst trying to award himself a free kick, thus preventing his opponent from playing the ball, is a nailed on yellow. But not in this game, even though it was penalised by a free kick for hand ball.
This is his first season refereeing top flight games. I think tonight was his 8th game.

The referee wasn't the problem tonight.

Aside from anything else, our efforts to get a winner in stoppage time were pitiful.

I loved the ref's defiant body language as he walked off. Preening cock. Even he knows.
-
Interesting to see how much stoppage time we get. That's two lengthy ones.
-
That was like one of those free kicks Kyle Magennis has been trying to nail for years.
-
Finishing is grim. Should have been 1-1 straight away from Durmus free header. Morias actually looking quite tricky, but you just don't fancy anyone to score when a chance comes.

Odds shorten and lengthen to maintain the bookies' edge.
i.e. the bookie tries to engineer a situation where he'll win no matter what the outcome of the event is.

The cheeks being so far ahead is a post 1996 thing.
They've obviously always had far more success than everyone else, but they weren't light years ahead on points, like they have been in the modern era.
In the first 100 seasons they only finished as the top two in the league 30 times.
Latterly, they did it 16 times out of 17 until one of them went bust.
They've also never seen average crowds anywhere near as high as they get in the modern era.

I'm feeling a bit for the Saints fan on the closing credits of Sportscene there. That routine probably didn't seem as cringey while he was doing it.

McGrath looks comfortable and confident. More to come from him.
If we can figure it out in the final third we should be fine. Over to the big Aussie.
-
The other day he acknowledged that he might not be seeing much game time here with the new signings at centre back. I wouldn't underestimate that part of it.

Reminds me a bit of Barry McLaughlin. Similar style.
I loved big Barry, but are you sure you've got the right guy?

And you think misogny will help that because.............
There is something very creepy about a 75 year old man lusting after women less than a third of his age.
Have a word with yourself.
Woke-soft!
Sorry bud, couldn't resist it.

There's shades of Norrie McWhirter about Conor McCarthy. A bit under sized for a centre back, but always seems to have all the time in the world and makes things look easy.

WTF is the linesman supposed to be doing at that foul on Morias just before the half time whistle there. He was close enough to hear the shove never mind see it.

BBC Figures.
Pars have a loyal following.
My neighbour in Stirling is a regular.
I see the figures on the BBC. It's the worst kept secret in the world that they embellish their attendance figures.

More than 3,700 there.
Is this guy still announcing the 'crowds' at Dunfermline?

I remember my tentative celebrations for the McDowall goal.
Remember glancing back and forth between the ref, the linesman and the ball in the back of the net, just waiting for one of them to signal that it wasn't a goal.
Tentative celebrations for the McGowne goal too, seeing as I was in the West Enclosure, with a free ticket, surrounded by buckled ****.

Irish newspapers story today talking about St Mirren's "cup scare" and implies this shows the 2 new lads from the LOI have made a bad choice.
Reminds me of my delusions when McAvennie went to West Ham.

Dare I say that hit off Obika.
-
This boy McGrath won't be on the bench for long.
-
FFS. Hits off Obika who then acknowledges that he never meant it.😃
