  1. Good performance. Team worked their socks off, and main was really unlucky not to get a hat trick. One negative is that Strain should have been given a helping hand on the right side, as he was getting roasted by Maeda and Jota. He needed some back up.
  2. I didn't criticise the BoD, nor do I blame them "for everything else", so please get your facts right.
  3. So, the BOD IS to blame for the £1.5 million loss??
  4. I didn't say they should get NO credit, but you're implying that they got us there, which is bollox. OK, so were the Board to blame for us NOT achieving these things last season? Can't have it both ways, mate.
  5. OH FFS!!! Get a grip. It was the players, Robinson and his management team who got us there, not the Board. How many goals (other than own goals!!) did the Board score!
  6. Very disappointing. Had the game won and then did the usual St Mirren trick of f**king it up. TBF their keeper had 3 great saves, but I lost count of the times we broke up the park with more men than them, and couldn't play the final pass or get a shot off. A great chance to keep Europe alive gone.
  7. I don't know Alan Wardrop. I've never met the man. I don't know if he is an arsehole or otherwise. He may be. What I DO know is that some of his allegations, by the Club's own admission, are true. For ANY organisation to put forward an application in another party's name, no matter what stage of the process is at, is unprofessional, unethical, and might even be deemed fraudulent if it had gone any further. Th Board has not, IMO, given a valid reason as to why this happened, but rather produced an ambiguous statement and then gone on to "shoot the messenger". I trust that the matter will be addressed in full at the SMISA AGM, and that SMISA will then get to the bottom of it at SMFC Board level. The whole episode makes the Club look like a bunch of incompetent chancers.
  8. Helluva lot of "new" posters in this thread. Strange?
  9. Better second half, but we were gash in the first. Defence was shocking again. And why the f**k wouldn't Robinson bring on Shaughnessy when he takes of Gallagher? Moving Gogic back only weakens the midfield.
  10. And Dunne was culpable in both Killie goals, but he's got a start.
  11. Met him a few times in Dublin when he was Reading manager. A really nice guy. He would come over regularly to check the progress of Reading loan players at St Patricks Athletic, and would always have a chat with supporters in the pub beside the ground afterwards.
  12. Firstly, its great that we're top 6. A fantastic achievement. But todays performance was shocking. Never in the game at any point and never looked like getting anything out of the game. If we repeat that display in the last 5, then we'll stay 6th ans xan forget about Europe. We can only hope it was a bad day at the office.
  13. The players should smack f**k out of them with their cues.
  14. yeah, you are correct. Bollox! if we draw and they win, we've got the better goal difference, so we should be fine.
  15. A draw is enough to be absolutely certain. Even if we lose and Livi win, our GD is better.
  16. It should be, but it's rarely a done deal with Saints.
  17. What a disappointment. At 2-2 all we had to do was keep the heid and concentrate to come away with a good, if unexpected, point. But no, we f**k it up again and the roof fell in. The defending was shocking for all the goals (their's and ours), we couldn't win a tackle and we couldn't hang on to the ball. Thought Gogic and Strain weren't on their game today, and Kiltie wasn't much better. Still, we're in the top 6, and it's still in our hands.
  18. They should also employ another rule from rugby, that only the captain can approach the referee.
  19. Great win. Great to see that cheating bassa Snodgrass get his marching orders too.
  20. Went into that cafe many a lunchtime for a roll n' steamed sausage!! Ah, the memories.
  21. I only highlighted what those best ever finishes were. How can that be seen as an insult or argument about what you said?????
  22. Equalling our best ever finish in the top league. We've finished 3rd twice before.
  23. Don't think he's being pedantic (at least on this occasion!) He really didn't say Taylor cost us any chance of winning, even if that's what he thought.
  24. In the second half he played well - I already said that. I don't recall anyone saying he cost us the chance of winning the game. If our 'strikers' could actually get shots on target, we might have won. But I still say Taylor is a level below what we need, and that's based on what I've seen of him noth at Saints and here in Ireland.
