saint in exile reacted to Rascal in The Windsors
I have nothing against the current job holder but am not a fan of the monarchy. Time to slim it down at least and to get a lot of the properties used into public use. Buck House would make a great Old Folks Home. A bit far away for St Mirren home games or I might put my name down.

Thats a pity. If it was away, Smokie said we could all stay in his gaff. Free booze.

Goldson should have cleared that into the stand

This could be fun and games tonight. Two clubs whose fans are, in the main, utter f**kwits. It will be interesting to see the antics in the fanzone for those without tickets and the after the game when both sets of "supporters" are back in Seville city centre. The Spanish polis don't f**k about. it's baton charge first and ask questions later!

saint in exile reacted to Rascal in Ukraine v Russia Has Kicked Off
It was a civil war in all but name. Both sides committed atrocities. Ireland did not invite England as it then was to come to the country. I find it hard to complain about the Irish wanting to run their own country. Ulster was a human engineering experiment where Scots Protestants were given land, work and voting rights ahead of the indigenous population and the eventual split gerrymandered to create a Protestant unionist state. I feel for both communities involved as they were playthings for politicians.
Unionist targets would be more likely be MPs and Parliament. Jo Cox was murdered by a right wing fanatic.

Believe me, the RoI doesn't want to be saddled with the North. Only the die hard Republicans here would welcome them. Too much historical baggage. And, FYI, loyalist bombs DID go off here, in Dublin and Monaghan.

It may be unlikely. But remember them and the other lot spent 30+ years bombing their OWN country. So who knows what these irrational imbeciles would be capable of?

So we have more points that County, so we're better. So do Hibs. Also Livi have more points than Dundee Utd, Motherwell and County. So your argument doesn't really cut it.

Yes, but you didn't make that clear, did you?

Oh I saw it, alright. You're quick enough to point it out when others aren't clear, but you don't like it when it's done to you, do you?

Agree on this. He couldn't tackle a fish supper but the English media seem to think he's the best right wing back in the world

Don't know if any of you read the Beeb's match report, but they implied that Alnwick saved us from a hiding. FFS!! Did they have a reporter at the game?

Decent performance against a poor team. Gogic was MoM for me, but Fraser and Tait both put in a good shift, as did Kiltie. And Main and Greive are gelling well. Some goal from Main!

Indeed there is nothing at all amiss about 'opinions' especially when it comes to football,, however they do need to be based on reality.... unlike Mr B 's. Allowing that much of what he implied about the team and its lack of urgency in recent times, yesterday the whole team clearly ate their Weetabix, took their vitamins and picked a lucky four-leaf clover en-route to the stadium, Main was a revelation, he ran, he harried, he tackled, he worked his socks off and had the best match in a St Mirren shirt ever, Grieve likewise kept at it for the whole game, and Kiltie and Ronnan, even Taite were excellent, , the whole team in fact were a class above where they have been recently. Now when I say a class above, I don't mean in quality although we showed improvement, but rather in work rate and consistency and application, not world class but way above Mr B's interpretation.
