  1. Billyj. I could not attend the match last night. However against Dundee I immediately remarked to my wife that Steven looked far from fit even to come on as a sub. I was indeed very surprised that he started against the Pars.
  2. Well Ridgers not good enough for Hearts but signed by us.Caldwell not good enough for Hibs and scored twice last night.
  3. Gary Kenneth is now with Carnoustie trying to get fit and restore his love for football. He was obviously s talent and is now some way ready for Senior football.
  4. Drew. I really don't know. I only feel that having watched him a few times I have been impressed. I saw him on TV last season in the Edinburgh derby and looked the part. No doubt Killie will be interested due to the Locke connection.
  5. I feel that young David Smith of Hearts would be worth s shout. David is s tall right hand side midfielder who has been told he is free to find another club. David has quite a bit of premier first team experience but is now down the pecking order behind the likes if King Walker and Nicolson all excellent players. I saw Smith in the recent friendly against Man City and looks class.Worth a shout in my opinion and wouldn't cost the earth.
  6. Notice your use of grammar is almost as bad as your silly rants.
  7. Faraway saint does not know the way to St Mirren Park. More importantly knows very little about the game of football and has absolutely nothing constructive to offer the forum.
  8. A win tonight and a result on Saturday or the BOD have s decision to make.In my opinion Craig has been on board for three years and was as culpable as Danny for our failings last season.
  9. I would have expected to be unbeaten with two home wins and a draw with Well given the players they have lost.
  10. I think we will get a good result on Saturday. Utd are not as strong this season with Gauld and Robertson away. Also Armstrong their best player and Dillon out injured.
  11. St Johnstone scored that amount of goals with Stevie May as main striker with Steve McLean as back up. They mostly went 4-5-1 with midfielders like Wotherspoon chipping in with goals. Very few sides go 4-4-2.
  12. Midfielders like McLean McGinn and Wylde will chip in with goals in five man midfield. I also feel Drury on the right once he beds in will score goals.
  13. Jon is still only 31. Hardly old in this day for a footballer. Injury record had been ok apart from this one which has kept him out for the season start. Now fit and ready to go according to the media.
  14. I thought we did ok yesterday made lots of chances and general play was fine. Goodwin for me was motm. After they scored however there was for me an acceptance from Tommy that we were done. He just looked towards us in the Main Stand and did little in my opinion to get the lads fired up whereas Hartley was like a man possessed. He knew his team had got out of jail.Just on a final note Ball and Marwood in my opinion just don't do it for me and with the squad available I much prefer a 4-5-1 formation. Very few teams in the modern era go with 4-4-2.
  15. Is there any chance that Goodwin could get his close friend Daly to sign for us. Jon is now fit but will clearly now struggle for a start at Rangers. Jon would be a great signing and could cover at Centre Back if required. Would love to see it happen.
  16. So it should be considering the cost of their team. What a totally uneven playing field the EPL is.
  17. Surely to goodness there must be at least two experienced targets on Tommy's radar. He did say a few weeks ago he would have to resort to scouting. Waiting on young loan signings is hardly that. I despair at the strength of our squad. I really do.
  18. Stuart. Note your comments but I not think the EPL is the best league in the World as our English friends continually bleat about. I am of the opinion and stats would prove that the Spanish league is far superior.
  19. Pozbaird. This league is pumped to the hilt with foreigners. It is in effect a total money making machine. Yes there are some decent games but as a sky subscriber(unfortately helping the English clubs become richer) I have seen some rubbish over the years and today the game just about fell into that category. The match started with just 3 English players on view as of course Dummy is Welsh. Little wonder the England team is suffering.
  20. Yes Billy Stark of course. Oh and yes Frank McGarvey from Kilsyth Rangers.
  21. Just watching Newcastle and City. Totally bored. No doubt the well paid pundits will talk it up at full time.
  22. Well mister know it all.Richardson signed from Arthurlie. McAvennie signed from Johnstone Burgh. Not bad signings eh.You just have to get off your arse and look for the talent not just depend on your contacts with Newcastle and Man City who just use us to give their lads experience
  23. Topcat is merely guessing. I remain absolutely utterly utterly astonished and extremely extremely upset that Gowser left us and to sign for one of our main rivals hurts like hell
  24. Still reflecting on the misery of last Wednesday. Note Accies midfield contained a half fit player/mansger and the lad McKinnon who only signed for them last season aged 28 from Clydebank Juniors with whom he had played for since aged 25.Previous to that he was an amateur with St Pats. Perhaps we should be scouting at Paisley Rscecourse in future.
  25. Scotland- St Mirren. Scotland - St Mirren England - Preston North End Spain - Elche
