Mid Calder Saint got a reaction from StanleySaint in Lewis Jamieson
Lewis really should now be a firm part of our squad he turns 21 in a few months has had loan spells at three clubs a player's career is short enough now is his time

Mid Calder Saint got a reaction from Rascal in Ross Stewart
In which case we would be due around £52k

Mid Calder Saint reacted to Sidmirren in Dundee v St Mirren SPFL PREMIERSHIP 9/3/22
Toxic Titch the bully from Arbroath never went to Love Street when he lived two minutes away. He's hardly going to attend Dens Park when he supports none of the teams playing. He is a fake saint.

I remember him being tricky but pace never struck me as one of his attributes.
Either way he was excellent for St. Johnstone. I'd have him.

Walker, Lapsley , Wilson , Neilson , McGugan , Leishman , Rodger, Bryceland , Baker , Gemmill and Millar.
Another legend gone from the above.
Only Team I learnt off by heart even though I was born many many years later. RIP Mr Leishman.

The other little matter with McAllister is that when he came back to Saints, he had to be well managed in terms of the amount of time on the park.
We did that well, but I think there might be a slight lingering feeling that you might not get a full 90 minutes a game for a full season out of him. I like him as a player and when in full flow he is a handful with a good shot and a great dead ball speciality.
If push comes to shove, I would keep him and see if you can get a good season out of him around the No. 10 positioning as said above.

I think JG sees Kyle more in a number 10 role as opposed to a winger I would go along with that and indeed that could be his role for many years to come as we tend to forget he is still very young.

Exclusive: Hearts, Dundee United, St Mirren and St Johnstone interested in Hull City transfer agreement | Football League World
James Scott who was a 'Well player before signing for Hull.
For a young player he had an annoying habit of scoring against us.

All gone quiet any rumours of potential signings ?

Mid Calder Saint reacted to Sonny in St. Mirren v Dunfermline Athletic 13-07-21
3 clubs cannot play fixtures because Covid is still here - it has not gone away. I am just grateful that at least some fans can attend a match. Watch Engerland go into meltdown over the next few months when they lift all restrictions.

Looks tremendous - apparently Liverpool keen to have him playing regularly, hope we at least ask the question - exactly the kind of player we need

JG on STV news this evening saying he is hoping to sign two players although he is relatively content with his squad at present.

Mid Calder Saint reacted to Eric Arthur Blair in Ethan Erhahon
Could not disagree more when you look at the fees commanded by Hamilton, Motherwell and DU for their academy players.
-
Mid Calder Saint reacted to Clydebanksaint in Speculation Thread
Everyone is welcome to their opinion as is others to disagree. Personally the so called £250k is bollocks as the minimum fee would be the developmental fee which in turn would be more than that figure. He is still a young boy in terms of actual footballing playing time and has 2 year’s remaining on his contract. If he wants to go then cash in now for maximum money. If not we get another season growing in the game with power and McGrath beside him

Mid Calder Saint reacted to mattman in Ethan Erhahon
Boy has talent, 2 years left on deal, seems to enjoy being at the club, we should be standing firm here until the right offer comes in. Not a small fee with potential sell ons like we done with Mallan, far too much of a gamble that.

Mid Calder Saint reacted to djchapsticks in Ethan Erhahon
Erhahon has a few shortcomings in his game but he's constantly improving still is learning. End of the day, we have on our books, a guy who has represented Scotland at every level bar full international, will have well over 100 first team appearances before he hits 21 and still has two years to run on his current deal.
When you look at other clubs like St. Johnstone and Motherwell doubling down and refusing to let themselves be short sold on their assets, then neither should we. Barnsley paid £1.25m last season for a lad from Liverpool who is two years older, and with no first team experience save for couple of loans out to League 1.
We'd be doing ourselves a genuine disservice by accepting low to mid six figures for him.

His development fee would be over £250k. I am yet to be convinced by any of these rumours.

Mid Calder Saint reacted to Callum Gilhooley in Speculation Thread
Barnsley signed a young midfielder last year from Liverpool for £1.25 Million. I remember checking it out at the time simply cause of his name, Herbie Kane - in case he was the younger brother of Harry - but no relation.
Just checked wiki , ( I know !) the young lad had never played a single league minute for ‘pool had been out on loan at Doncaster and Hull and has represented Engurland only at U17 level.
If Ethan is to go, Hope the club either get a far higher figure than the £250k mentioned or tie in a very heavy sell on deal as with McGinn .

Mid Calder Saint reacted to lenziebud in Ethan Erhahon
Erhahon is top drawer. Hugely impressed with him over last few seasons. If he keeps developing as he has been then he will play at top level.
Going to the right club also in Barnsley where I think he is good enough to make it. Never thought that of Mallan at either Barnsley or Hibs
-
Mid Calder Saint reacted to beyond our ken in Ethan Erhahon
For a player that age we should be nailing Barnsley to the wall for cash. Sell on clauses should be only part of the picture
-
Mid Calder Saint reacted to bazil85 in Ethan Erhahon
Barnsley back in for Erhahon apparently, this time as a transfer. Rumoured "six figure fee"
A player that has come on so much in the last couple of season with bags of potential. I would be sorry to see him go but if he does, hope we are negotiating a significant sell-on clause. He obviously still has some developing to do but his awareness and composure on the park are very promising, oh too rare for the position he plays. Future Scotland player for me.

Cant see us entertaining anything less than 7 figures.
Tied down longer since he came back from Barnsley last year and has a very good career ahead of him if he keeps his head down and continues his good work.
When you see the figures mentioned with other teenagers playing at our level, playing for St Mirren shouldn't be any different.
