  1. Have a look at Steve C's managerial record which up to the Killie job was poor. Every manager can only work with the squad he inherits until he can change it. Consider Sir Alex's first season in charge of us. Wonder what happened to him when he joined Aberdeen and Man Utd(on point of being sacked before class of 92 rescued him).
  2. You go to support the team first and foremost. We can only win our game and have no influence over Hamilton other than us scoring early and they hear about it from their terracing putting more pressure on them.
  3. Bit risky hoping for or playing for a draw. A win for us would put them into play off spot.
  4. Does he love the club? This is the proverbial ultra pessamist who never predicts anything positive results wise for our lads. He predicted Accies would win 2-0 tonight. No idea why he bothers supporting a team that has historically had more downs than ups.
  5. I heard that the Samaritans hung up on you. Don't you think your negative predictions are becoming tedious?
  6. They'll want us to stay up as we bring a good away support - something Accies can only dream about.
  7. I am not removing the LC success. Read my post again where I talked about our league form. I watched the games with my own eyes and some of the football was brutal. At times Danny looked unwell through the barren times when we couldn't win a game even if the opposition didn't turn up. The LC was a tremendous achievement but league results is our bread and butter.
  8. I can understand fans anger at Danny leaving mainly because the board made a right ricket in appointing Craig and subsequent bad manager decisions. If Danny had been replaced by someone like JR or an experienced manager then the blow of Danny's leaving may have been softened by those who wanted him to stay. All ifs and buts and I still have a soft spot for the man.
  9. Explain how I treated Danny like shite? When Danny left a lot of fans felt the time was right, appreciated the job he did in winning the cup and wished him well. I have always supported the manager and club but the board felt Danny had taken us as far as he could and completely fecked things up by appointing TC. If he had been 'sacked' under contract I could understand your point but he saw out his contract and for whatever reason the Board wanted a change. That's football. On a final point Alex Smith won the Scottish cup in 1987. Did you see any of the football we played the following season? Smith had to go but will always be a legend for our SC win.
  10. Remind me again what other top flight club Danny has managed? Take the LC win out the equation then our football was brutal and it was time for change. Lovely man with the club in his heart but that's not enough when results were poor. If he was such a good manager now would he, with all respect, not be managing a bigger club that Clyde in the bottom league?
  11. Bullshit. His contract was up and the Board decided not to renew it. Sacking is when a manager is dismissed within his contract period. If a player is released at the end of his contract do you think he has been sacked? Danny's time was up but Board made a right f**k up by not replacing him with the right man. The rest is history.
  12. You ARE Elvis. If you are so pessimistic about our team then why bother supporting? Regardless of who we have played since I started watching St Mirren in 60s I always went along with hope that on the day we could win against any team.
  13. Some fan you are. You must be related to Elvis. Why you bothering to watch the game on TV if you think it'll be a snorefest.of course you also said you are going for an Indian - bloody clever to do both at same time unless the restaurant has a TV.
  14. Eh, did you not say before the Motherwell game we wouldn't get another point?
  15. Even by your standard, that's a cracker. You expect JR to take a massive pay cut to go manage a Scottish championship club more likely to be fighting administration? If he is sacked then a lot of other bigger clubs will be looking at him.
  16. You are assuming United (as in Dundee) are going to be our opponents? I still think ICT will be tough for Utd IF they beat Ayr.
  17. If we lose our last 3 games then we deserve to go down. Of course you are assuming Dundee will win all 3 of their games.
  18. You must be nuts. You have more confidence in a team who have lost 9 in a row to win all their remaining games yet feel your own team who have picked up points will get none?
  19. Why do you even bother to call yourself a supporter? You clearly never demonstrate that on here with your constant negativity. Did you think we would best Livvie, draw with Aberdeen, Hearts and Accies away? Of course you probably didn't. You have never made a positive/supportive comment on this forum. Do you go the games?
  20. Important games bring out more fans. You may as well ask why 25,000 fans turned up to watch us win the Scottish Cup in 87? Or more recently a full house when we were fighting relegation in our last stint in the top league? If it comes down to this game I wager we would bring around 4-5 thousand to Dens Park.
  21. Wish you were at the bottom - of the Mariana Trench
  22. You really have never said anything positive about our team in all the time I have been on this forum and there was me thinking that a fan supports his/her team through thick and thin. Being a St Mirren fan means we have limited success and thus more disappointment than success. Maybe just once in a while you will come back and respond to your tiring negative comments by saying something positive and/or admitting you got it wrong.
  23. All the pressure on Accies v Fakes and I think fakes will take something if they play as they did today.
