Because Ross Stewart will get 40 goals next  season, Josh Mullen and Blair Spittal are also potential Internationlists.......................

Many players are on holiday bar those on international duty. It's the 5th June and most contracts expired this month.  You and I have no idea what is going on behind the scenes but would rather take a little time to bring in the right players than a lot of dross ala Stubbs. Also, it is worth noting that anyone brought in has to be paid but won't kick a ball in earnest until August.

I think it's been mentioned on here many times over the years they are very good at the commercial side, maximising the stadium for various events etc.

He's going from coach to assistant so he'll likely be on better money.

Someone offered around 5 times your annual salary would you turn it down? Time to move on. JR got us promoted and i thank him for that. He is young and ambitious and a nice guy and I wish him all the best.

Why have a pop at him when there's some zoomer predicting, and started a thread, we'll be challenging for 6th or 7th next season?
I happen to agree, way too early for ANY serious predictions.
Lots of water to flow under the bridge before next season starts.

Maybe spending our transfer budget on virtually a team of poor signings? Where are all the Stubbs signings bar Cooke? That tells you all you need to know about his ability to bring in players good enough for the team.  I agree that some signings don't work but virtually all of them?

If Stubbs had had his way MacKenzie, Baird, Flynn and Stephen McGinn would have been out the door. And considering the quality of signings he did make we would not have had Hladky and Popescu. So in last night's formation we would have had Danny Rogers in goal, a back three of Jones, Heaton and Kpekawa with Willock and Edwards playing in midfield. However we would not have been at Tannadice last night as we would have already been relegated.

Have a look at Steve C's managerial record which up to the Killie job was poor. Every manager can only work with the squad he inherits until he can change it.  Consider Sir Alex's first season in charge of us.  Wonder what happened to him when he joined Aberdeen and Man Utd(on point of being sacked before class of 92 rescued him).

You go to support the team first and foremost.  We can only win our game and have no influence over Hamilton other than us scoring early and they hear about it from their terracing putting more pressure on them.

Bullshit. His contract was up and the Board decided not to renew it. Sacking is when a manager is dismissed within his contract period. If a player is released at the end of his contract do you think he has been sacked?
Danny's time was up but Board made a right f**k up by not replacing him with the right man.  The rest is history.

Explain how I treated Danny like shite? When Danny left a lot of fans felt the time was right, appreciated the job he did in winning the cup and wished him well. I have always supported the manager and club but the board felt Danny had taken us as far as he could and completely fecked things up by appointing TC. If he had been 'sacked' under contract I could understand your point but he saw out his contract and for whatever reason the Board wanted a change. That's football. On a final point Alex Smith won the Scottish cup in 1987. Did you see any of the football we played the following season? Smith had to go but will always be a legend for our SC win.

Taking the thread even further off-topic I often wondered how keen Tommy Craig was for the top job, at 63 and with only an unsuccessful caretaker spell with Charleroi as a No.1 previous to managing us I've always had a suspicion the BoDs plan was for him to mentor Teale/Goodwin for two years by which time Craig would be eligible for the state pension - best laid plans etc.
Craig survived  5 managers departing @ Sellick and one of their supporters at my work said "He'll no' resign, under any circumstances" when we appointed him.

Met Danny a few times and thought he was a gent and very good at dealing with people . Not our best manager and certainly not our worst manager (especially considering what came after him) and gained a few plaudits including the much desired League Cup . I reckon he did have one of the best teams put together at Paisley Saint Mirren in recent times. I will always remember him as a decent individual and for all the good things he achieved for us . .

I can understand fans anger at Danny leaving mainly because the board made a right ricket in appointing Craig and subsequent bad manager decisions.  If Danny had been replaced by someone like JR or an experienced manager then the blow of Danny's leaving may have been softened by those who wanted him to stay.  All ifs and buts and I still have a soft spot for the man.

    Lennon's managerial record
I'd say better than average and that he's been a bit unlucky not to get another gig with a F/T club.
    ********************
Our football during his tenure was mainly brutal with two good spells - the first half of 2011/12 and the spell from when Isma arrived until he got done for diving against Celtic. Technically @nedflanders123 is correct and he wasn't sacked but when your departure is announced on the Monday and your Assistant (the brains of the partnership 🙄 ) is given the job the next day it's a bit pedantic.
Still he's a club legend and I'd lay down in a muddy puddle to stop him getting his shoes wet!
