What the f**k is wrong with you guys (you know who you are) that you have to drag every thread into the mire with your petty bickering. Nobody gives a f**k so do us all a favour and take it elsewhere.

This thread was about Goody. The amount of posts that have f**k all to do with his appointment are just depressingly familiar.

    It really is tragic.

  2. So what do we have that folk have 'heard' today,

    1. Heard it is down to lack of budget

    2. Heard it is down to him not moving his family over

    3. Heard it is down to his choice of assistant

    4. His wife could be up the duff.

This is all based on one paragraph which was added to a re-hashed article from three weeks ago in the Sun.  FFS that's some amount of froth its managed to generate 😂

That walloper from the board is a very real danger - he's responsible for the family stand being sold to OF scum without consulting the ST holders who sat there, also responsible for the barcode strip and the limited access fans bar. I suspect he is also responsible for the seat allocation at the last game - funny how all the seats (usually occupied by ST holders) near the hospitality suite were the first to be snapped up when a "glitch" on the ticketing site meant anyone could buy any seat they wanted, but "luckily" it meant more money could be made from selling hospitality packages, somebody reserved all those seats as soon as they went on sale. He will trample over anyone if he thinks he can make a quick buck.

😂 The absolute state of this

The number 2 doesn't dictate the philosophy or anything that. They just bring their experience and contacts in the game hopefully.

He would need to have some kind of input that Oran could rely on. Have you ever heard Houston ? At least he would be back working in the Preeemyurship 😂

What do we need for next season?

I think you need to ask a more telling question first, like 'Where do we want to be this time next year?' And if its not being relegated..?

then the answer to the first question above is....

    INVESTMENT, INVESTMENT, INVESTMENT..!

with Uncle Roy coming back up with his pet project of investing in Ross County, coupled with the investment put into every other club including Hamilton & Livingston we will be chasing our tails yet again trying to compete with probably, if not the lowest budget, not far off it!

we have the only board that do not invest, and when every other board does invest it doesnt take a genius to work out which team, or teams will be fighting relegation again. Until we have investment which could include funds from additional revenue streams, then we will be relegation candidates from the off. Thats just the way of it in the top league.

Wait a minute, are you having a go at the board ? I must say that I am in shock at this development.

Need to go same back four that finished the match, Magennis in for Lyons and Jackson up top with Mullen next week.

Agreed. Baird did nothing wrong but we seem to be more comfortable with a four. I have no idea why we continue to lump long balls up to one guy up front, hasn't worked all season. Must be frustrating for guys like Mullen who are outjumped all the time and has no support. Thats when he starts his falling about for no reason shite. He is better than that as we saw today when his chance to do his job resulted in a fantastic finish.

We went to a back 4 after 25 mins. Popescu was moved into midfield and S MGinn was told to play further forward.

Nah, back five didn't change. McGinn told Lyons to move beyond the midfield as he was doing nothing. But it did open up a bit in the middle of the park. Lyons however continued to do nothing.

It was one of those where he hit it too well. Great strike and their keeper knew nothing about it.

I think the keeper thought he was going to shoot across the goal and had taken a step in that direction, he then simply threw out an arm. Good strike, good save.

A point against the Fakes is not a bad point - they are the best of the bottom 6.

We lost nothing on Hamilton and gained on Dee who continue their losing streak - mathematically they will throw everything at Hamilton next week - but they are gone. Still hope they win next week though.

We get Well with 1 of their players suspended.

We started too cautious - 5 defenders. We should have attacked from earlier on. We looked far more dangerous with Jackson, McAllister and Magennis on the park.

Having said that Dreyer was decent on spells and hit the post - MacKenzie was very good today... but we had really decent chances we should have taken - Muzek for one...

Great goal again from Mullen... keeps this up and he will soon be our top scorer...

Well done - next week also tough - need to keep Turnbull quiet for sure . . . :bounce2

In fairness on the Muzek chance, he couldn't have hit it much better and it was a fantastic reaction save.

  10. As was highlighted at the meeting there are a huge amount of SMISA members who live outwith the Paisley area ( myself included) so attending meetings is not always an option. I'm quite comfortable with the fact that 1200 members (who were not at the meeting) are happy with what they signed up for and trust those on the board to do the best for us all. Yes, we will get a few on this thread with a different opinion but I think the fact that membership has remained fairly consistent indicates that most are happy to be involved, albeit without engaging on here or at meetings.

Of the proxy votes, five were from directors of the club.

In fairness to SMISA, those five votes were not counted in this vote due to potential conflict of interest. Right thing to do IMO.

Also worth noting that with the low turnout, the resolution had NO chance of being passed, as the SMISA board (and their partners) would obviously vote en masse to reject the resolution.

That's NOT a criticism... merely an observation! They were right to do so if that was their firm belief.

Learning from it though, if ANY member puts forward a proposal in future, the only way to have a fighting chance of having it passed is to canvass proxy votes, or better still, encourage more people to attend and participate in the discussions!

Well done Kombibuddie... You spoke well and blazed a trail in the name of democracy for grown ups!

Absolutely, I liked how he referenced this thread as a reason to put his proposal together after reading all the negative stuff without any decent ideas being put forward. It's a shame the agm isn't better attended but I have been to the last three and it seems to work. That's three years we have left the meeting heading to a crucial game and we have won. Can we arrange a meeting for Wednesday ?

    result of the vote was

    11 for

    16 against.

Of the 27 eligible to vote. 7 were SMISA board members & including myself, there were 3 London based Saints at the AGM.

Thanks to those who supported the proposal.

Don't worry about speaking in public, you did well and I voted for your proposal.  One question on the vote which is obviously now after the event, but we were never given the proxy vote numbers. One member asked prior to the vote about proxy votes but there just seemed to be a recognition that some proxy votes had been received but the full vote count was never given . Was this the case (or did I just miss the number being given) ?

User friendly ? You must be joking !!!

Online I have been bouncing round and round in circles.

Do I have to travel through to Greenhill Road in person to purchased a ticket for this cup tie ?

Has anyone else experienced difficulties in making such a simple transaction ??

I've just tried it Wilbur and can only say that it is simply not good enough to still have this in place.  Gave up and yet again will need to phone the ticket office who thankfully do a great job. It needs to be sorted out .
