That’s not the case at all with him. He has us written off every single game before a ball is kicked. And takes great pleasure when we do lose.

If all results had went the way he predicts, we’d be proping up the lowlands feeder league by now.

I can't believe folk still mention him. He needs attention and he gets it here and on p&b.  Even when we win , posters still refer to him. It's what he wants.

Boyd Munce should never be in the side ahead of Baccus , McMenamin looks as if he wants back across the Irish Sea,  Tanser got his new contract and has regressed to last season's form , O'Hara has stopped running , which is the main part of his game. I could go on !

Agree with this, but not Tanser. Thankfully he has been decent. O'hara last season was box to box, getting on the end of chances and between him and Baccus created the platform to move us forward. Hasn't happened this season. Baccus has to start, if fit, but I have no idea how we turn this run of form round, it's been awful.

  3. No energy again. They did no more than us, but when you are not professional enough to see that through to gain a point is criminal. We built our good results around pressing early and moving the ball quickly. We now look sluggish in our movement and the long ball thing needs to stop. If there is a positive (I know) Ayunga's contribution since he has returned has been great. No idea how we turn this around.

  4. Didn't think it was too bad a performance. Yes, the passing wasn't great at times but we played well in small bursts. Ayunga did well with the limited amount of time on the ball that he had. I hate to say it (again) but I just don't see what McMenamin offers. We worked so hard to win the ball back and get it out to him and he either gave it away or kept it and did nothing with it. Really frustrating to watch. Midweek is massive now.

Hibs have good players in every position, some of whom are better than our corresponding first pick and they continue to play like Livingston.  There is not much change between the style of their two managers and their stand-in this season.

The latest excuse-making manager, who probably won't last any longer than Johnson, was bleating about decisions however you could see their spirit desert them as the match ran into the final minutes.  Good players don't seem to like persisting with the gamesmanship and spoiling that these managers demand.  Wasting time with 70 minutes left is guaranteed to feel like a burden on a player, unless you are a nasty git like Marshall, and rather than win a point i think we were there to catch one of the two that Hibs dropped

Biggest positives were LJ's performance and Hemmings continued improvement.  I don't think we had an open-play goal in us until LJ appeared and that's a worry.  Mandron was flat from the start and Baccus looked like he is struggling, Kiltie & Tanser just never got going either.

Agree regarding Mandron but couldn't disagree more with the rest.  Tanser had a great first half resulting in several good deliveries into the box. Kiltie covered every blade of grass trying to make up for Mandron's lack of effort and he used the ball well. Baccus won more tackles in his first 5 minutes than the pedestrian O'Hara had done up to that point.  He also brought a strangely quiet Strain into the game more, and generally lifted the tempo of the entire team as soon as he came on (despite his foul after about 8 seconds 😄).

I assume the family stand takes a big hit in numbers for midweek games with weans not being allowed to evening games.
Out of curiosity can everyone remember the first evening game they attended by themselves or with mates?

    This was my first…..

I was 10 years old. Seems a bit mental now that parents would let their kids do such things at such a young age. I certainly wouldn’t have let my kids do that.
That said I do believe we were a lot smarter/savvy as kids back in those days.

Pretty sure mine was the Slavia 1985 UEFA Cup tie. It's certainly my most memorable. A brilliant night.

Robbo and the backroom team deserve a big shout out for our performances and where we are.
Noticed after the game Robbo talking to big Taylor - basically telling him you need to be “on your toes concentrating” all the time. Thought the big man was excellent today but Robbo saw something he didn’t like and told him ……… that’s why we are “punching” and long may it continue !

    COYS !

Agreed, he was excellent. Both he and Gogic made things look very simple but they put in a huge amount of work. Also thought Kiltie deserves a mention, deserved his goal. I still have concerns with O'Hara's recent form but don't want to take anything away from the overall team's performance so far this season. We have a really good team and should enjoy everything they are giving us.

  8. We just never got going today. Yes, the sending off and penalty pretty much defined the outcome but we were pretty poor. What has happened to O'Hara ? Olusanya tried hard but couldn't make the ball stick. Mandron looked like he couldn't be arsed doing anything. Not an enjoyable afternoon.

The main complaint about VAR is the amount of times it takes to come to these decisions at the game from opposite end of Stadium ours looked a stonewall penalty one view on Sportscene confirmed this so why the 4 min delay to give it. Do O'Hara or Ayunga even get in the team at the minute??? I would suggest not you have our 3rd choice striker scored 2 from the bench (should be 3 but VAR fuc**d that up too).
Then you have the midfield 3 of Boyd-Munce, Baccus and Kiltie playing some wonderful football last two weeks O'Hara might have to wait to get back in.

Agreed. He should not just be given a start as soon as he is fit. The 3 you mention have been superb and deserve to keep their places. O'Hara will be a big player for us at some point this season but I wouldn't change things just to get him back in at the moment.

    Catch 22 really.

Finishing top 6+ and the later stages of cup competitions helps generate cash.

Sell out the current stadium first and then possibly look at increasing.

No point in putting in more seats for them to be empty.

Yeah, the increase in the home crowd is fantastic but I doubt we will get to the stage where folk can't get a ticket for the home end on a regular basis. Don't get me wrong, that would be what we all want.
