Road To Hampden - Scottish Cup 23/24

I'm sick of getting that mob early in the cup. Same round as last year. Effectively ends the cup run before it really begins. We must be due an easy run to Hampden at some point Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk -

Not sure how I feel about it tbh - me and my son would have been traveling by train from the southside of Glasgow - if it is off it might be better for us - although still would have went Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk -

According to someone on P&B it's just been called off Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk -
What a great performance today - Naismith not willing to give any credit to us in his interview. If we had dropped points again because of VAR, it would have been more daylight robbery. For me I can accept the first chopped off goal - Gogic was a bit reckless. The second one was a goal all day long - no contact for the 'foul'. Thanks to Scotland's Poundland VAR we don't get a good view of the 'line' so I guess we have to accept the decision for the third but looked onside to me. Anyways - still one of only two unbeaten sides in the top flight - so it's all going fantastically at the moment [emoji106] Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

St Mirren v Aberdeen SPFL Premiership 27/8/23
southsidebud replied to shull's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
I’ve just about calmed down after Saturday - been a long time since I’ve been so angry after a game. I felt all the key decisions went against us. It’s all been covered previously so I won’t go over them again. It was just very disappointing to miss out on winning first three top flight games since the 40s and also going clear at the top. Not to mention my St Mirren winning bet builder with Greive scoring - which would have netted me £75 ☹️ Anyways - we look a unit now - Baccus - amongst many others - had a great game - so I hope he keeps his place when O’Hara back. Also Kiltie was excellent and he would be in my team every week. Hopefully we can get past Hibs in the cup and get to Hampden. Apart from against Rangers I think we would be favourites in any other semi final match up. -
Yep - didn't say it would be easy. None of the 14 available outcomes would have been easy - I just happen to think this will be relatively easier than 11 of the others. Definitely more winnable than a trip to Celtic Park or Ibrox - and I was expecting one of those to come out the hat.

We should have won the group on max points and been seeded - but considering our position after the first game, I'm delighted we got through and even more so with the draw. Of the 14 possible match-ups available as a non seeded team, I reckon this was the 3rd best possible outcome (After Ayr and Airdrie at home). We've been quite lucky in the draw and have more or less wiped out the impact of that initial defeat. ... of course we still have to win it...🙂

Yep - a master class from Strain in the build up

Heading for a quick family visit in Johnstone then off to the game. Any sort of win does us - but my £2 free bet requires 4-1 [emoji1787] Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Nice. Hopefully they might be tempted to go for it then. If they win they would have a chance of being seeded - what a result that would be for them -

A shoot out against the group big guns on Saturday🤣 - winner takes all ! 1-0 does us - but hopefully its a rerun of the Arbroath game. Forfar likely to shut up shop though as a draw does them of course -

Forfar 3-1 - so unless we win it we’re looking at needing snookers -

Would be surprised if 8 points was enough for a top 3 runners up spot - but haven’t checked. I imagine there will be a few second place teams finishing on 9 points That said - I’d take it! -

We go to away games on the train - we would have had to have left at half time to get the last train back. Maybe a few folks put off by that -

Also watching Falkirk game - lack of updates is poor - they could just stick the scores up with a quick mention when a goal is scored. So Saturday’s game meaningless as it stands - we need to at least match Forfar result to have any chance to catch them at the weekend -

I wonder if that will help the livi players get a bit steadier on their feet -

Not making this because of the train strike and very unreliable bus service. After 30 mins at the stop we just headed home and stuck on the iptv -
Huge rewards for avoiding defeat tonight - hopefully the skeleton crew will get it done. I didn't realise that McKenna was also injured - don't know how I missed that. I honestly think it has to be Gallagher starting in defence tonight.

Saint Mirren v Celtic 17 September 2022

Not been on in a while - but had to comment on this - even though its old news now. What a result - and potentially a real turning point for Robinson and the Buddies. We looked comfortable for most the game. Now just to get Livi sent packing and then hopefully a wee upset at Ibrox 🙂
