  1. You do.

You pay to see the same shite that I am watching from the South Stand.

Have a pish afore you leave the house.

So your saying that 100 away fans should get the same catering and toilet facilities as 1300 home fans 1eye.gif and you don't mind the disabled getting f**ked over by the club either ? I would guess that most of all those who don't see anything wrong have never sat in the west stand when shared. I have been in all the stands and only when the west stand is shared are they any problem.

  2. the West bank fans seem to think they should be treated better than other fans, ffs the stand is usually a third full if your lucky...if I was club id be looking at shutting it on a match day and moving everybody to main stand or behind goal.

No we not. Only looking for the Same treatment as the fans in the other stands.

  3. I have some questions for the fans council which I think a few others might like an answer to, which is part of the reason I'm asking here and since the fans council is allegedly there in part to 'provide a good communication flow between the club and the fans' I hope for once they will get the information and let the support know the answer.

Why are Saints fans in the West stand being inconvenienced at the majority of home games with only 50% of the facilities being available to them ?

Why were season ticket holders not informed about this when the tickets were being renewed in order to get a chance to move ?

As the pay at the gate supporters aren't getting the same facilities as other parts of the ground, why aren't the tickets reduced ?

If this will be happening next season will the season tickets be reduced to reflect the reduced facilities ?

I have been complaining for the last 2 season about this. AFAIK Gilmour came over at h/t 2 season ago to see for himself what it was like and I am sure we never shared the stand again that season. It is all about money but surely the cost of a handful of stewards is worth paying to stop the fans thinking they are being treated like shit. Also remember the disabled also losses a toilet so there is only 1 for those fans in wheelchairs whos trip to the toilet is going to take a lot longer than fans that are abled.

  4. Sight exageration with the Clydebank similarity!!

Most of our away games had some fighting at them in those days.We were seen as the Big Boys in the League and the locals always wanted a wee shot.

I loved all that stuff back then......from a distance!!!!

Ok slight but there was as much drink flying about on that terracing than on the JB bus whistling.gif

  5. From today's PDE "Paisley Past" page........attachicon.gif14523754502281996983665.jpg

I was at that game and it was pretty much like the Christmas day battle at Clydebank. There was a decent covered terracing behind 1 of the goals where most fans of both teams were gathered. Plenty of free beers were given to saints fans by the Stirling boys and plenty returned to them as well argue.gifdrinks_cheers.gifargue.gif 44 years ago, how times fly when your having fun lol.gif

  6. There are around 250 unsold seats in the north stand.

Given there are no sold out sections of the south stand (the stand is less than 50% full) I'd say that there are very few Thistle fans in there. This is strictly families only.

The mixed section of the main stand has less than 100 seats in it.

I'd say the figure looks pretty accurate.

South stand is not for families only. Anybody can go there, just don't swear. Me and the mate will be in there as usual for a cup game since we don't like the west stand when it is shared with away fans.

  7. Pubs are a dying trade due to many things. Including, and I believe this is a major reason, the smoking ban.

I am an ex smoker of 20+ years but I felt sorry for the usual old guy who liked his pint and sat in the corner with his pipe while telling all who would listen about his war exploits and the "Guid auld days".

They are not as able to take a step out and stand in the cold wet winter/summer days for a smoke.

The price of alcohol in pubs compared to the supermarkets are another reason. People didn't suddenly stopped having a drink during the week. They just drink at home which, I think, makes it more likely they'll take that, "Just one more before bed".

The drink laws would only limit what a person would drink. Not where they would drink it. It has also just recently been lowered.

Since most people have access to hundred to tv channels including the latest movies and live football, i reckon having your own in house entertainment on a large 50'' screen keep you in the house more than a smoking ban.
