To be fair to him I did post a week past Friday that Killie had been In touch with him but I didn’t think it was a possibility. Please don’t ask who the source is as I won’t name the person, but believe me I was disappointed when he left

What I think is getting missed here is, Scott hasn’t actually made any changes today or put any restrictions on the W7 group.  He has basically stated that you were told not to display a banner and deliberately went against their wishes. He has called you out on it, told you not to do it again and has encourage you to continue supporting the team. What is the issue?
The board have provided this group with their own section in the ground, allow them to stand the whole game with no hassle from the stewards, allowed banners and drums into the ground and even investigated the option of safe standing in the area. I don’t see the board/club putting any obstacles in the way of this group, they have been very supportive.
The W7 group seem to be creating their own obstacles by deliberately disobeying rules put in place by the very club they purport to support. You can’t just go against them because you don’t like it. It is yourselfs that are creating problems against a board that have actively supported you.
Suck it up. The group have made a mistake displaying the banner, the board have called you out on it, asked you not to do it again and that’s it. They haven’t banned you from any other displays and asked you to continue supporting the club. Get over your own self importance.
 

So furth are fourth?  

They come to attention via their agents who hawk them around every league they have a realistic chance in playing in... in a descending order. Suffice to say, given the time they were without a club SMFC wasnt any of their first, second, third, fourth, fifth... etc.. etc... choice!
but hey! When we try to pick up guys with their pedigree when the window is open we appear to be just 'fluffers' for someone else to jizz all over our offer, and come along with the money shot. 
If they show early promise, get them signed on a contract that at least we can make some cash on if bigger clubs become interested.

Having listened to his after match interview he genuinely looks at a loss, almost as if he’s a beaten man. He actually said it’s not all his fault and the players have to accept responsibility, condemned man indeed.

How I long for the golden era when senior teams could build a formidable first X1 that could hold their own in the top league built from recruits from the likes of Johnstone Burgh, Cambuslang Rangers, Cumbernauld United, Shettleston and Baillieston Juniors.

Quite deservedly, based on pre-season performances, Alan Stubbs has been subjected to a considerable amount of vitriol on this site, largely due to a number of uninspiring team performances in the Betfred Cup and the Sunderland friendly.
Today we won 6-0.
Just wondering ………………. how many St Mirren managers have overseen a 6-0 (or better) victory in a league or cup fixture in the last 50 years or so ??
