If hibs don't sell Scott Allan like they have said, I don't see John getting a game for them, IMO he's not a patch on Fraser Fyvie and nowhere near as talented as Allan. I wonder if Johns had a bit of a shock at the standard of club that are looking at him

I genuinely don't care how much of the shop area St mitten strips get in JD, I fully appreciate its 99.99% fans only that will but the strip. As long as someone can go in, buy the strips they want for themselves or their kids and the strips are of a good l standard then JD are fulfilling their duty in my eyes. The problem is that isn't happening and that's why JD deserve a kicking not because our strips are hidden behind some old firm strips.

Agree with this, Not sure what I expected of Agnew but didn't really do much at all today, Mallan just had a poor game, we know what he can do. Thought Carswell looked tidy enough and was pretty steady. Thought Conlon did ok, not sure how he has shown up in previous games but based on today there must be better out there. Howieson had a few nice touches, involved in some nice moves but didn't offer much else, Left back, centre half and a striker will be essential. Add another keeper and that will be us ready for first game of the season, with 1 or 2 later in the window possibly

I, like many others, have a plethora of Celtic, Rangers, Killie and Falkirk supporting mates. Not one has text, emailed or phoned me about this. We are hardly a laughing stock. Just got this response from a 'well fan I emailed I liked him but he never progressed last season after a good season the year before. I am not sure whether that was just down to injuries early in the season. Personally I would have given him another year in the squad. He is a defensive midfielder who breaks up play without ever really making a tackle. Tracks and covers well. Tidy in possession but doesn't have a killer pass. Possibly lacks a yard of pace. I don't think he is the worst signing you could have made. We could regret letting him go if you play him every week and let him develop. He never got enough game time for us last year.

Was just about to post the exact same, 5 years ago Thommo could have been given a 10yard head start on a centre half and still been caught, its neve been in his game getting in behind defenders.

I also remember Cowdenbeath fans saying Jenkins was the main man and not Danny Lennon, even some St Mirren fans claimed Tommy Craig was the reason behind the upturn in form in DLs last season. Both claims now seem absolutly ludicrious. Basically, 99% of Football fans know f**k all when it comes to the ins and outs of training and what goes on behind the scenes. You seemed a lot less concerned when we apointed an inexperienced manager last season (with less games as a manager than Ian Murray) with two assistants with zero experience of being coaches/assistants at any clubs, never mind full time ones.
