I saw that after I posted and totally get that with Lyness as he has only just come into the side but given Hammill and Ferdinand have made every squad they have been fit for I’m surprised we have left it till after their last contracted game, particularly with Hammill who I think is as good or better than anyone we might get in the window. Hopefully if the manager wants any of them he moves quickly before their affinity for the club/support/teammates etc wears off.

Adam Hammill said in his post match interview that St Mirren haven’t discussed a contract with him. He seems to use the term “we” a lot in his interview in reference to the club and seems keen to stay.........I would think it would be a no brainer for the club.

I think Willock is out of contract in the summer so I would expect his agent is trying to get him another loan to try and generate some interest in him.

Watching the game today I was surprised by Oran being deep in conversation with McManus. No sign of involving the actual first team coaching staff...... not entirely sure what the point is of having these guys if you don't consult them?

To be honest they can all f**k right off. Not one player gets pass marks and seeing players like Ryan Edwards in the team just makes it worse. Hammill clearly has class but can’t get anywhere with the piss poor players he is handcuffed to and becomes ineffective because of this. Jury is still out on Oran too, seems a smashing bloke and a great man manager but yet to see what he brings tactically. As for Accies, they play to their strengths but my god is it eye bleeding to watch.

As much as I dislike him, I would have McKinnon in my team. He gives Accies so much in the middle of the park. In contrast our players look naive and physically weaker.

Kyle is off the pace today, McGinn has been stymied by his booking and Edwards is a headless chicken, so the midfield has been over run. All too easy in the middle of the park for Accies.

Neither is pumping high balls to Jackson.
