Athough one day a couple of year's later, John Reid , Elton John's manager got my boss from work in Topman and myself totally plastered one afternoon in Kennedy's as we had given him a loan of the pass required to get in for an all day drinking session the previous day( It was the 1st all day opening pub in Scotland). I didn't have a clue then that he was a bit of a shirtlifter . My Boss , did however , and dragged me of to the safety of the Centurian at 5 bells.

Thames Television used the 'Grange Hill' music as the theme for 'Give us a Clue' at the same time. Lionel Blair bought me a pint in the Griffen opposite the King's Theatre in Glasgow while I was waiting for Shetland's old man to come out from his medical , just before they moved up to Sheepsville.
