  1. Penthouse and Pavements was quite cutting edge back in its day. Loved that album. By The Luxury Gap they were doing the nice pop synth stuff that others were doing... nice but not radically different.
  2. Waste of an incredible talent persisting with Kenny as an out and out striker. He can boss any midfield. He has performed admirably these last two games... but as I pointed out before... even playing as a striker, his goals have come from deep midfield or the spot when moved to midfield. Easy to get caught up and I understand why... but Kenny will go.on to be one of Scotlands finest attacking midfielders... as I have repeatedly said since seeing him pre season in the youth side v Arthurlie... even when many on here were berating the lad as lazy and over rated.
  3. I reckon Teale may well have a decent few contacts.
  4. One of the things that stood out in the press is that the training has changed and players ste enjoying it. Night and day from Craig who said in his last few weeks that they were still doing exactly the same on training as they were when we won the cup! Teale would appear to be his own man with his own ideas. Really looking forward to this match.
  5. I can't remember the finer details...Just Bones Bawling before Bakers blooter!
  6. Anyone remember a stoater by Martin Baker away to Dunfermline. Jimmy Bone was giving him pelters from the touchline.and Baksey lost the head... he took his anger out in the ball and sent a screamer into the back of the net from the touchline!
  7. TBH I don't mind local derby matches on New Years day as not everyone is off on the 2nd. It's when they send us to Inverness on a public holiday with no transport that I dispair at the lack of consideration for fans. Looking forward to this game... not been able to say that in a long time!
  8. And 45% of the 87% who actually voted yes is equal to marginally more than a third of the eligible electorate... meaning nearly two thirds of those eligible to vote did not actively vote in favour of the Yes campaign. Seems straight forward to me.
  9. So unless Nicola actually pledges, I shouldn't trust her opinions as they don't count?
  10. So did he lie to try and force the issue? Surely his opinion as head of the party mattered?
  11. McLeans first yesterday came from a run started deep in midfield. McLeans second was created when he had been moved back to midfield... and was set up by Ball. However... there are but mere facts.
  12. Really? I said I voted for them. I said I respected many of their politicians. Why the hell would I want to lie about them? That has to be one of the most bizarre responses I've ever read on here, and that truly is saying something.
  13. It's a tracic dilemma. I voted SNP at the last local elections despite, as you may know, believing independence is not best for the long term future of Scotland. I respect and rate many SNP politicians... but since the referendum it has become clear that rather than concentrating on running our country, they will simply take my vote as a mandate to push for independence... despite their own pledge that it was a "once in a generation " thing. If I could trust them to concentrate on running the country, making the best of what we have and working towards a more devolved federal union for the benefit of 45 million people rather than 5 million, I would vote for them without hesitation. Sadly, their reaction since the referendum when two thirds of eligible voters chose NOT to support them, has been like a scene from the Life Of Brian. Splitters!
  14. Meanwhile... an SNP member of 3 years has accused them of being more controlling than New Labour having been banned for standing for them in the Falkirk area. - see quote and link below: In a blog post yesterday, Murray said he had been "astonished by the hostility of the appeals board", which was chaired by Ian Hudghton MEP and two MSPs, adding: "They could not have been more personally unfriendly towards me if I were Jim Murphy: their demeanour was bullying. I found it a truly unpleasant experience." Murray, an SNP member for three years, is now barred from standing anywhere as an SNP candidate. He told the Sunday Herald: "I'm absolutely shocked. I'm very, very depressed. I think in both Airdrie & Shotts and in Falkirk it's evident who the party hierarchy wants to be the candidate. "My own view is the [bedroom tax] question was asked to eliminate me. I'm really gutted." Murray, who was the UK's ambassador to Uzbekistan from 2002 to 2004, said that by choosing "party darlings" as candidates, the SNP was guilty of Labour-style control-freakery. "I'm really sad, because like many people from the Yes movement I believed we were building a new kind of politics in Scotland," he said. http://www.heraldscotland.com/politics/scottish-politics/torture-whistle-blowers-anger-at-snp-stitch-up-after-election-block.26155630
  15. You know that as fact? Proof? Yardley was never slim but became a club legend. Basher too. Fitness and fatness are not one and the same. In the games I watched Ball play he was still covering every inch of the field looking for a touch of the ball right to the end of the match. For almost a season Goodwin struggled to last 90 minutes. Osborne struggles to last 90 minutes. If Ball gets a fair chance and doesn't take it then fair enough. But blaming things on his size is just silly imo.
