  1. It was a very intentional reply, thought out and measured. You feel he should do the simple things rather thab waste the ball with 30-40 yard passes for one thing. That was exactly the same criticism levelled at Charlie Adam by people who knew best. Turned out that when the lad was encouraged rather than criticised. .. and allowed to go out and play in his best position, he was far better than he had been able to show. It's very easy to call yourself a supporter because after he event you have said that the man of the match had a good game. Supporting through the poorer games is what makes one a supporter in.my eyes. He's s young lad and will be inconsistent... ditto McGinn... but they are the finest young talents we have produced in many a year. "He needs to buckle down and be more consistent" you say... support him and we may see more consistency I would counter. I'm sorry for your oversensitivity petal.
  2. I'm sure if I could be arsed to access such vile bigotry, I would find almost identical comments on rangers forums about a certain Mr Adam! He went to Blackpool where he was supported and encouraged to express himself... .. did not to terribly with support rather than added pressure thinly veiled as "constructive criticism"!
  3. Like the look of this young lad. What is filling me with more confidence is that Dummett came to us with zilch positional sense but through good coaching, went back to Newcastle a good player. If Sean is prepared to listen, learn snd work hard then as has been shown with McLean and now McGinn, he will get his chance.
  4. presactly! I have pointed out a number of Dannyisms in the past... but ffs... the guy said nowt wrong here IMO.
  5. They are absolute stars. The minibus for our daycare died when I ws still 15k short of my fundraising target for a new one. I wrotr to them on spec... and two DAYS later received a cheque. .. ... for the full 15k. They didn't want publicity but would agree to it if it helped our charity. Given the myriad of begging letters they must get, the speedy personal and generous response was amazing. Christine referred to stuff in my letter so had obviously taken time to read it.
  6. Fair enough. .. but if me being wealthier means that someone in Wigan or Sunderland is poorer as a result, I really can't celebrate the 'benefits'.
  7. That's the thing... had he performed like that on a regular basis then he never would have been sidelined... Danny went out of his way to defend and support him when fans were out for blood... but that seems to be forgotten now. Danny was 100% right to drop him when he did... and tell him to find another club if he could. Lee was 100% right to say screw you... I have a family and a good contract and I'm going nowhere. Lee Mair had a good game on Monday... but one lapse led to one goal against and one point instead of three. I welcome him back and will support him 100%... ... but I refuse to get on the sycophantic amnesiac gravy train that has forgotten how many points he cost us in the past!
  8. No they/we didn't. .. ... we/they pointed out that Thistle would play the long diagonal for the full backs to run on to. That was pointing out what we would have to defend against... not how we should play.
  9. He was well out of order for that... the lowest of the low.
  10. The best centre half I've been privileged to see in the stripes!
  11. and if the people at the "lower end" of the scale are not hammered, then there will always be folks willing to take the risk of replacing them. Without the mules... the top end can't function. Equally culpable IMO.
  12. But what about the other side of the coin... those who really would have suffered through having been supplied with illegal drugs? Free drugs being handed out in school playgrounds now so that a new 'demand' can be created! Anyone who plays any part in that supply chain has to be hit hard and face the consequences of their actions... ...
  13. It's satirical humour ffs. Is women's football some sort of sacred cow... or is that the players?
  14. Nice pie! As for the game! !!!!!! 2-1 to Peterhead who were well organised... but it was never a penalty for the winner!
  15. It's the Golgafrincham B Ark for you then!
  16. It's not the ground that will be the new experience. .. ... it's seeing goals from the home team! !!
  17. had considered it... but the wee fella has been to a match at Hampden recently! Wanted a new experience! ;-)
  18. yep... the Wee Rovers vs Peterhead... if only to remind me what goals are like!!! I took the wee fella to two Partick Friday night games this season as it was just £20 for us both... and really enjoyed taking in a game as a neutral. I had a look for tomorrow and it was either Clyde or Albion Rovers... ... been several decades since I've been in Cliftonhill, so at just £12 for both of us, and as an alternative to staying in with 'er indoors... and the threat of goals... ... seems like a good deal all round!!!
  19. Think back to the early part of last season. Imrie was man of the match in three or four successive games... then dropped like a hot potato. Something happened behind the scenes at that point I'm sure... but I do believe Imrie could have been a decent player for us and does indeed have the ability.
  20. me too... if we can start via the real ale festival in the town hall!
  21. I thought the second wad down to Goodwin, whose positioning was poor to start with... failed to notice the overlap... and was too flat footed tovrespond and cut out the cross.
