  1. And I don't blame him one iota... I just don't rate him one bit.
  2. in fairness... looking at the thread on our starting eleven... neither do we!
  3. I'd rather boo Drew than the team any day! Booooooooooooooooooooooo Drew... Booooooooooooooooooooooo! Get a grip ya bam! Booooooooooooooooooooooo
  4. Nobody has said that anyone is a bad supporter for booing at the END of the match... I said that booing at half time and criticising players audibly DURING a match is NOT "support" in any way, shape or form!
  5. In the words of the great philosopher Kenny Dalgleish... "mibbees aye... mibbees naw"... ... but one thing we are not is "supporters" when we boo those wearing the stripes during a game!
  6. I'm in the family stand and posted at half time that the booing from Saints fans was out of order. If it was aimed at the ref it would have started as he reached the tunnel... it started immediately the whistle sounded and was a loud and clear message from where I was sitting.
  7. Where are the clowns... Send in the clowns... Don't bother... they're here! You may well be not far wrong!
  8. I never have bood my team and never will. That said, I do understand the frustration and boos st the end of the match. The booing at half time was well out of order imo and totally uncalled for.
  9. I'm normally the first to defend him but I thought he has a very poor game today.
  10. I was at both finals. The 87 final was a crap match but one of the best experiences of my life. It led to a trip to Mechelen and is something I will always treasure. However... ... I was only 21 and probably took it all in my stride. This time around, I had a real awareness that this might be the last time I would ever see my team lift a national trophy at Hampden. In 1987, my Mum and Dad were supporting the Buddies and I was at the match with my best mate... ... By 2013, my Mum, Dad and good friend were all dead! I was determined to soak up every second of this final... and I did so. I find it impossible to say which was the better achievement or occasion... but I know for sure what one meant more to me emotionally and psychologically... and if that makes me a twat, so be it mate.
  11. Totally agree... ... the bike in the corner has been rusting since Mooy left!!!
  12. I was at both games and Danny was sitting not far behind me at the Hearts match! Graingers experience saved us several times as he didn't dive in but held up two attackers at a time till support eventually arrived. Very impressed by Grainger today.
  13. Taylor-Sinclair is their lb, O'Donnell their rb. Very impressed with their whole defence which is young, mobile, well organised and solid.
  14. I tried to warn folks that Thistle are a well organised and good footballing side, but was derided as "we should be beating teams like that"! If they had a good striker they would be a match for any side in the league. They won't be relegated.
  15. McGown ended up playing far too deep and that allowed Thistle to push up and press us... at least Harkins played on the front foot and tried to cause problems at the other end of the pitch.
  16. Agreed. Possibly looking at Newton on the riggt and McGinn on the left to use their energy to negate any threat from their full backs.
  17. Not many Saints fans thought Brittain had what he has gone on to show though. Jon is younger and may well develop into that kind of player... I wouldn't be surprised if he did... but then again, as with all young players, he could well drop off the radar.
  18. cheers for that. nothing too controversial... I'd be upset if he wasn't upset. I reckon he's a decent player and may well reappear in the SPL like Brittain did after leaving us... but at this time, the move suits us, him and the Blue Brazil.
  19. True to a point. They were given the option of extending the deadline to Monday to keep them in line with other Associations who do not class Saturday as a working day. The SFA elected to stick to the Saturday. Not clever, as Scottish clibs can now lose players after Saturday and then do nothing about it.
