Okay, I'll bite. The Kibble have an annual income of about £35m (taken from the OSCR website). That's not including the various subsidiaries/trading arms that run alongside the core charity. 
For context, St Mirren had income of about £4m last FY (taken from Companies House). 
Why should charity leaders be paid so much less than their private sector counterparts? And realistically what do you think he should be paid?

As soon as McGinn was made available by Hibs, he looked to be a good fit for us. Of course he’s due a spot in this thread. I only visit B&WA for the speculation thread these days but it’s posts like this to initiate bickering that make it totally insufferable at times.

Two points make this issue a no-brainer for me
Firstly, taking shedloads of £££s from the wallets of bigots and stuffing those £££s into St Mirren's bank account makes perfect sense both financially and morally. To chuck this (much needed) cash away for essentially a 'point of principle' would be stupid.
And secondly, ST holders in the Family Stand already know that they are likely to be shifted elsewhere for these fixtures when they purchase their STs and this hasn't deterred them in the past. 
So, as I see it, we have a choice between 'the moral high ground' or piles of cash. No contest IMO.

Don't know why but I had it in my head that we were paying Jack Ross about £150k around the time he was being linked with Dundee/Ipswich, when promotion was basically a certainty and we could speculate a little. 
That said, the £2.5k a week figure makes a lot more sense when you put it in that context. 

I actually wonder if the Naismith/Brown interviews were a fact finding mission on the part of the board/CEO.

Access to Kibble staff to grow the commercial side of the club and to make savings where possible ie vehicle maintenance.
